Must be able to read Floyd's food work, anticipate and cut-off the ring. Attack with quick combos and body work, switching and trapping Floyd. He has to think like Floyd, he has to outsmart FMJr (which is very hard to do in the ring). He has to work through his "clamshell" defense and try to negate Floyd his speed.

Man I hope you're 100% wrong on Miguel going back to his 140 lb days and doing some switch hitting. Why? Because mixing in a southpaw stance against a guy that has one of the best lead rights in the last 30 yrs is a recipe for utter disaster. Cotto needs to remember that he is the established 154lber in this fight and work behind a jab from his orthodox stance, stay patient etc., but to get caught up in these gimmicks of switch hitting will put him in the same boat that Junior Witter was in against Tim Bradley. Lord I hope you're wrong on this front but do agree with the other x's and o's you laid out for Team Cotto.

Let me just break this down..Cotto is str8 up and down and his defense is to leaky,he keeps the same rhythm though the entire fight(till he starts running backwards)and has to plant his feet to unleash his combos,,he was bruised up against a 1 eyed margo and a shot Mayorga.i just dont see how this will be close at all..i like cotto he is entertaining but he just isnt a elite fighter and is out of his league here
