  • Its called leaving your options open , Floyd will try and get Manny at the end of the year or early next and if the same BS goes down with duckman , Floyd will then fight another fighter that Manny ducked , Manny is the one losing out here , but then again is the money worth the exposing that Floyd would lay on him , I dont think Manny wants to look like a fool against May so will keep on ducking the fight until its his last fight then he will say he was he was past it .

Manny is the most manipulated false champ in boxing history , ducking Cotto without a CW recently is just another BS move by Team Pac . I actually hope Bradley beats him because then Floyd will fight Bradley and Bradley wont win a round .

Manny will give him more revenue even at 50/50, plus equal or even more legacy points!!!! Then after beating the midget, he can then cement even more his GOAT status by beating Sergio!!!
That's up to Pacquiao to decide. If he wants to fight, he will.

Otherwise, Floyd can't wait around for an opponent and a fight that simply won't ever materialize.

I rather see Floyd move on and fight Canelo, Martinez, Lara and others, then sit around and wait for something that will never happen.

arum will never let this fight happen 50/50 want even negotiation.arum even said they were trying to negotiate behind his back and that no offer was acceptable

        • Im past this fight and not even hyped for it anymore.rather see him fight cotto then unify with canelo for the ring title then fight martinez for the lineal bet at 160.that would add 3 belts and 2 more lineal titles to his resume

This ^^^ sums up the ENTIRE thread.

In fact, it sums up Manny Pacquiao himself if you think about it.

Manny Pacquiao has spent his entire career since fighting Diaz trying to be Floyd Mayweather. Except Manny wouldn't fight any WWs ranked 1st, 2nd or 3rd.

When Roach publicly stated that he would not let Manny fight Mosley unless it was at a catchweight of 142lbs, Floyd stepped up and dominated Shane. That made Manny look pathetic .. and which is why Team Pacquiao rushed to secure a match with Mosley coming off of a loss.

Now that Floyd is facing Miguel Cotto while Cotto is at #1@ 154lbs and coming off wins, Pacquiao fans are desperate to discredit this bout even though Miguel is in much better standings and condition than when Pacquiao fought him.

You see .. real champions don't have to target weakness. Real champions don't have to seek out petty advantages. Real champions want their opponents accomplished, winning and at their best.

That is the exact opposite of how Pacquiao chooses his opponents. There a clear and obvious pattern that Manny, Arum and Roach haven't even tried to hide.

            Why don't you understand?

When the shit hit the fan and their idol was exposed as using every excuse not to step up to the elite stage, you had to know that the legions of Pacquiao zealots were going to first:

            1) feign ignorance and act as if that isn't the case.

            and

            2) begin a disinformation campaign and hope that the facts get lost in the chaos that they cause.

Could you imagine if it were Mayweather that fought five 5th ranked or worse fighters in a row in an effort to make a case for being seen as #1?

The tirades would be endless. Yet Manny Pacquiao gets over through the pity of the masses claiming that "its okay" because Manny is "oh so small".

That's bullshit but its been allowed to fly because half-asssed fans insist on giving equal credit for several vacant titles, catchweight bouts and pretending that a win over the recently dethroned is the same as a win over the reigning best.

And websites like boxingscene only add to the ******ity that ruins the sport by hailing Pacquiao, who has recently been widely acknowledged to have received a gift decision over JMM, as the #1 fighter in today's sport.

Manny Pacquiao is not the best fighter today. JMM has shown himself as better than him.

Manny Pacquiao is not the biggest draw. Mayweather is without the help of Arum's influence to achieve such a distinction.

Manny Pacquiao is not even the best Filipino fighter anymore as I feel that Donaire has demonstrated better skills and a greater desire to face better opposition. He may not have achieved as much at this point, but he quickly rising to the top.

Only a fool would see Mayweather moving on to bigger and better challenges as "avoiding". Pacquiao can either step up or be left behind.

A fight with Manny nowadays is about the fight generating the most money. Manny has a fanatic fanbase that would pay to see Manny take a dump. It isn't about fans .. not even casual fans at this point .. believing that Manny has better than a puncher's chance against Mayweather anymore.

Some of you don't want to face it, but Manny's stock ain't what it used to be.

A win over Bradley now won't do for Manny what he needs for him to be seen as dominant again.

People are already asking "Who is the best guy that Bradley beat"?

            The answer is Devon Alexander.

The irony is that Manny is finding himself in the same exact situation that JMM was in before the third fight. Ariza said "Even God can't save JMM".

Funny because retirement at this point, even if God told Manny to, would only be seen as Manny going out on a low point with unfinished business.

People will remember Manny as the catchweight king who avoided Mayweather by refusing USADA random tests, refusing purse splits despite saying he'd take less, announcing his unwillingness to fight on May 5th, and claiming that God speaks to him as he lays with his filipino **********s.

Good luck to Mayweather and Pacquiao with their careers. Only one of them will need it when it comes time to be put under the unforgiving microscope of boxing historians.

Only haters will say this, Cotto was on a winning streak when he fought Manny, just like right now...

                LOL .. streak? Against who?

Michael Jennings .. who you've never heard of before or after?

Or was it Clottey, who has never beaten a champion in his entire career?

                Streak?

public viewing of any ppv event has to get a public viewing license

tix prices reflect the turnout theyre expecting to at least break even on the license price. i know mayweather/mosley was over $2000 for a local bar here and they decided not to get the license

Those were confidence booster fights, Cotto shouldn't have lost to Margarito, hadn't Tony cheated him out of his victory.. And now the same thing can be said after his victories against a paper champion in Foreman, a washed up Mayorga, and a non-plastered Margarito... Don't favor your god just to justify his choice of opponent... f****ing floydiots...

Confidence is important, but it is measured by the quality of success more than it is by the quantity.

There is no proof that Margarito cheated against Cotto. Its just a blanket you hold like Linus from "The Peanuts" that makes you feel better and more secure. This is just further proof that people like you can base their entire reality around suppositions.

And now you call Floyd my God just because the statistics reflect that Floyd has done what these other fighters SHOULD HAVE BEEN DOING ALL ALONG.

Only exceptional champions can do what Floyd does, and that's why its so rare.

Cotto had only been #1 once before in his career and that was only because after Mayweather vacated his titles, Cotto moved up in rank from #2 to #1 by default.

This is the first time in Cotto's career where he has fought to become #1. 154lbs is the first division where Miguel Cotto beat a sitting champion since he became a professional. Cotto is coming off of title defenses and not just tune ups after the worst loss of his career.

I simply state the facts so that fighters accurately seem what they are. In your mind, me telling the truth and using facts is an attempt to devalue other fighters. Now that's sad. Its like I'm breaking up a party that only exists in your head.

In the world YOU live in, facts and dates are merely estimations that you see as debatable.

And that you'd suggest that Mayweather is my "god" because I disagree with the lies and misinformation that you and people like you write shows your desperation to bend and spin the truth.

Man up and check your facts. That's the best free advice you'll get.
