The boxing public was divided on the outcome of the biggest fight in recent times. He was the reigning champion on the losing end of a controversial decision. Usually that is a sure recipe for a rematch.
But I don't really understand what is there to argue about. Leonard literally retired until Hagler retired, then came back and called him out. That is as clear as it gets! (and as a sidenote, goes above and beyond anything Mayweather has ever done to not make a fight)
