If Pacquoia Vs Mayweather happened today who would win

You don't have to fight a certain style to see that a Boxer has improved in certain fields.
Pacquiao early on relied heavily on lead lefts and was off balance a lot more than how he is now. He's a lot more patient, selects his shots a lot better, and has a vicious right hook to compliment his left along with much improved work to the body.
I also believe people rag on his recent opposition a little too much considering only 3 short years ago nobody imagined fights with the likes of Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, and now Mosley. It's easy now to say those guys were shot (Cotto, Clottey, Margarito) or done after he dismantles them like no one has before, kinda like how people did recently with Floyd against Mosley, who ironically is Floyd's biggest name at WW he's faced.Last edited by RL_GMA; 02-03-2011, 02:29 PM.Comment

Marquez won more rounds than Manny twice. If he wasn't dropped 3 times in the 1st,he would have won easily.Pacman won by 1 point in the second fight.Manny did not win the 1st fight that is a fact.Comment

if it popped off today....I see 2 outcomes
1.....Manny being the sharper active fighter EARLY catches Floyd and finishes him....Floyd gets caught in a storm and the bombs that Manny will be raining on him will close the chapter on him as a UNDEFEATED fighter
2......Floyd is able to figure Manny out without taking SERIOUS damage by the end of 4 rounds....and then just shuttin' him down and out....and because Manny will be throwing....there's a strong chance of him being countered and stopped late.....if I had to pick one it would be Floyd winning by UD and not by stoppage....BUT a stoppage win is not outta the question though
BOTH dudes can be stopped in this one.....BOTH dudes can win on the cards....50 ****in' 50 imho

Manny was a much improved fighter in the second fight. He out-countered Marquez when Marquez came forward and out-landed more punches on him.Comment

I will reply since you posted something worth me replying to.You don't have to fight a certain style to see that a Boxer has improved in certain fields.

You don't have to face certain styles but you can't truly gauge that so called improvement unless you go against what caused you the most problems and made realize you have to improve. Of course he is patience look at his opposition not saying they are bad fighters but they were all very slow compared to him in both hand a foot speed.
Truthfully I was never high on Margarito and thought he was completely overrated and Paul Williams proved me right about that. Add on to the fact that Cotto and Margarito basically took a lot of years and fight out of each other. I am not saying it made both of them shot but they were never going to be the same after that fight. They beat each other like Corrales and Castillo beat each. Just too much punishment for one fight. Marquez made Manny think in they fights. Name me one fight after Marquez where Manny really had to think about what he was doing? Manny has just went off of instinct in his fights after Marquez. When a person has to think and then react that changes a lot of what they do.Comment
