Had Oscar not stood in the middle and caught those clean punches could have won.. Mosely choose to box the ultimate boxer... Don't know what he was thinking
Manny will be in chest the whole fight. Floyd will look a little better than Clottey.................... wow.

He may have lost some rounds, but Floyd was in control the whole time. Picking his shots and letting Oscar try those ineffective flurries on the ropes. Floyd was smiling.
Pac is never really on anyones chest. He didnbt get close to JMM's chest. He likes to throw straight shots at mid range, and Floyd is a master at keeping just outside his opponents reach to counter them.
Floyd also moves back faster than Manny moves forward.

When you're heralded as one of the best if not the best fighter in the world, it comes with the territory to be the targeted for the next challenger. Look at what people do Pacquiao now, it's the same thing. I'd also expect if Floyd loses that it would be on the front page. People may hate him, but those people may also be naive to not believe Floyd is a recognized figure in American culture.
As far as the fighters you mentioned, I wouldn't say those guys were "marketed" to beat Floyd, but all of them at one point (or currently) were options for Floyd to take and were fights fans and experts wanted to see him in. But again, with the exception of Mosley, none of those fights ever materialized. So in the end, we have to judge Floyd based off who he has fought, not who was "supposed" to beat him or guys he simply just never fought.

Pacquiao will win by KO.
Manny is too fast too skilled, will apply too much pressure, has more power, and the better chin.
All Floyd has got is the defence edge and size advantage.
Floyd struggles with the left jab, in Manny's case the straight left, will cause Floyd problems. And Manny has the perfect counter to Floyd's jab his right hook counter.
Manny straight left and and right hook counter are the best in the game.
Manny also throw combos, even if the punches are not landing he will take the rounds if Floyd is not firing back.
Manny will connect with big shots and Floyd being behind on the scorecards will try and fight back and Manny will take him out.
Pacquiao via an 8th round KO.

He's just not the same Floyd of the 90's.. He's older, not active, mentally weak and I believe his legal problems and grief over his public persona have him made him doubt himself... He's not able to go into a fight of this magnitude with the right mindset....
If this was such an easy fight for Floyd he would have taken it by now.... He knows more than his fans do.Last edited by llamas1; 02-03-2011, 01:50 PM.

I still believe Floyd wins.
Expect a fight with half the action of Pacs usual fights.
Floyd will baton down the hatches early and make Manny look for openings that will be much much harder than what he's used to.
I think people are overestimating what Pac's activity will be able to do in this fight. He has tremendous activity against the Clottey's and Margarito's. But against Floyd he'll (1) Have less to throw at. (2) Be getting punished for mistakes often, which will knock him off his rhythm somewhat.
I see it being a totally different ball game.
Unless he gets Floyd hurt and finishes him off, it's likely going to be a Floyd UD.

Floyd has to throw more than one punch at a time to KO Manny.
When is Floyd going to throw is punches, when Manny is throwing?
If he is Manny will find him, there is not better fighter in the world today to pick a punch when the leather is flying.
Pacquiao may get hit, but he hits you.
