Maidana beat Kotelnik. He should get credit for a win in that fight.

    Cayo, Kotelnik, Ortiz >>> Urango.

He would've stopped Khan if not for Cortez.

    Lets all get serious here.

I dont put much stock into the Corley fight, it was a throwaway fight. Im looking at their big fights at 140 and Alexander has been out of his depth whereas Maidana has pushed some of the best fighters.
Urango was more proven than Ortiz was. What win does Ortiz have that is better than Urango wins over Bailey and Ndoudjo? A shot to shit Harris? a really faded Campbell? All that came after Maidana mind you.

You looking at the big fights? WTF is a throwaway fight?

Again Maidana got pushed by a shot to **** fighter. Alexander has a better win between the two. And, again if you want to use that logic a prospect in Alexander with just 13 fights dominated a fighter that pushed Maidana.

chop chop aint a solid fighter. he has his up and downs. for the Maidana fight he was in excellent shape and was very hyped himself while Maidana was ***in around with weight and training.

Maidana improved a lot since the fight with Kotelnik which BTW was very close and controversial. Kotelnik is a routine at 140 and he has been fighting young guns in his last fights, which is great but couldnt do much outside showing his XP and ability as a excellent boxer.

lulz, Don King wants Kotelnik out of the 140 picture. He never had any problem making that weight. I want a credible source or video interview for your claims.
So what? He should still be rank ahead of Maidana. Until he fights at 147 it is Kotelnik>Maidana

Kotelnik hasn't done anything to be ranked ahead of Maidana. Maidana has a better resume and beat Kotelnik and did much better against Khan than he did.

              You're a pathetic hater.

He was a shot to shit fighter. Why are we making excuses for a shot to shit fighter pushing Maidana to the limit? That is inexcusable....We're not talking about the Corley of 2004 FFS's.

Maidana clearly lost against Kotelnik in my opinion, I do give Maidana credit for winning the last 2 rounds and tryin' to take him out, he's determined. As for Ortiz being better than Urango, based on what? Ortiz running from a past prime much smaller Nate Campbell? Running away from the not so hard hitting Lamont Peterson? Quiting against Maidana? or doing exactly what he was suppose to against Harris? What has Ortiz showed us???

Ortiz is just a better fighter full stop. Urango is pretty ***** in all honesty. He has no skill. Hes just a slow musclebound slugger who made Ricky Hatton look like Willie Pep for 6 rounds about 5 years ago. Ortiz was young, skilled and undefeated (basically).

The Corley fight was a nothing fight. A tune up in his hometown for Khan where by all accounts he wasnt in the best shape. I dont care how either fighter looked against Corley who is not a factor in the division.

I care how they've looked against the best fighters in the division and theres absolutely no denying Maidana has looked and performed better.
