Here's the truth about MARTINEZ.......

ROACHes knowledge should not be questioned by you idiots. He was a professional fighter who fought enough big names and he is responsible for making MANNY a smart fighter. CHAVEZ can fight! PERIOD. He didn't have an amateur career remember? On top of that, MARTINEZ is not a boxing great or god. He has flaws and does things that will get him beat eventually. Sooner than later. He beat WILLIAMS who is DUMB. He beat PAVLIK who had lost the desire to fight at the higher levels. Who else did he beat? EXACTLY! CHAVEZ is already a much smarter fighter than WILLIAMS and is more skilled. And can take a hell of a shot to be a kid. PAVLIK is actually good at adjusting in the ring but had lost his desire by the time he fought MARTINEZ. MARTINEZ is a good fighter. B-LEVEL at best. He will lose within the next two fights I believe. CHAVEZ can beat him by years end. You guys act like he GREAT or something. He's not. I dare him to box arrogantly with his hands down against an A-LEVEL fighter with a good fast jab. I KNOW BOXING. You guys are just BOGUS and young! From now on, 30 and up posters only PLEASE!

Chavez is a JOKE! He has over 40 fights and has really lost twice already (given gifts!!), yet he can beat Martinez!!?? That is a joke! He had his shot at Martinez and balked because everyone and his mother knows that he is a major hype jobe! His father is a legend and he will NEVER live up to him and that is a fact! I don't see it happening, I think Martinez is one of the best pound 4 pound fighters in the world and it's a bad style match up for Chavez unless Chavez can pull a Margarito vs Cotto type performance.

At the same time, I respect Roach's opinion and even though he talks out of his ass at times, I think he takes on fighters to be successful not to just make a quick dollar. He took on Chavez because he saw some talent in him and he does take a good shot and give a hell of a shot.

Right now though he's not ready.
