I disagree with you. Part of arreola's strength is his size and power. If he cuts that much weight he losses power. He needs to work on other things inside the ring. anyone who things arreola has conditioning problems is a ***en idiot. No man especially his weight could fight 12rounds the way he does without being in shape and conditioned. Just because your big doesn't mean your unconditioned. There's 300lb nfl players that can probably out run 90% of people on these boards. Warren sapp in his prime would out run us all.

yo i aint say anything about his conditioning his condonitioning is fine and hes actually pretty quick for his size but most of his weight is fast and he needs to lose more of it and gain more muscle instead of flab

Hes getting there, if he finds the right balance between fat loss and muscle gain that allowd him to be faster and better conditioned but also retains his power then that will be fine.

the better thing that impresses me is him getting ronnie shields, the technique and basics being better will make the real difference.

if he works hard then come next fight which could be a big one he should be in near to the shape and condition he wants to be at.

Although Arreola can go 12 rounds ok, there is no way that fat does him any good. The guy used to be a Light Heavyweight and its lose fat not muscle. If he was in the 220lb mark he would have even better stamina and speed, as long as he takes the fat off in a healthy manner there is no reason why it would cause him any trouble.
I cant think of any athlete who has been better after they have put lots fat on?
He is looking a bit better now but still plenty of work to do imo.

Against Whiterspoon he was 239. This is his lowest weight since that fight, so I guess it isn't that bad... but he still needs to lose more weight.

Not sure why people are so concerned with this guy's weight.I mean,if he was a genuine talent,I could understand it.But this guy has shown that he's not that good.He was overhyped simply based on his ethnicity rather than his actual ability.Next time he steps up against a genuine contender will be another loss on his record.

You couldn't be more wrong. He had an excellent amateur career and is a very good talent, it's been his work ethic that's been in question all along.

Most people here don't understand you can't cut that much weight from one fight to the next, it's not healthy. He needs to keep working hard, keep cutting weight NATURALLY and then hit that ideal weight of 235 - 243 he's looking for.

He is a very skilled fighter, just never has taken the sport seriously enough.
