prime tyson destroys Wlad in 2 rounds, KO and easily like he would KO Haye. not sure he would KO vitali that easily though, those 2 in a scrap would have been great TV!
Prime Tyson vs Prime Wlad - Who wins?

Exactly my words. During a short moment in time Spinks had a winning streak. Other than that he is a bum. It should be below your dignity to argue for a 26-17 bum with a 30% KOratio.
Check Spinks' record. He was losing his entire career. His longest streak was 5 wins in a row.
I utterly disagree. David Haye is now #4 heavyweight. You know very well that should Haye lose against Wladimir he won't be within the top 50 of best heavyweights ever by having beaten Ruiz, Valuev and Harrison. It's the whole record that counts, not some momentary subjective snapshot.
A top fighter is a fighter who beats other top fighters.
The more he beats the topper he is.
The more convincingly he beats them (KOratio etc) the topper he is.
But that's not the topic of this thread.
That he won in the end is irrelevant for this thread, as you can see by the fact that Puritty usually didn't win but has the hardest chin nevertheless.
1) He could punch like a 188 lbs guy can punch.
2) Cooper is a featherfist. Don't convert Cooper into a power puncher. He has a KOratio similar to Chris Byrd. Cooper not once fought at 200+ lbs.
3) You make the typical mistake of watching some signature fights (or highlight punches). The whole record counts.
Doesn't change the fact that Ross Puritty survived 60 rounds against heavy hitters whereas Chuvalo survived only a fraction of that time.
Foreman's power LOOKED HUGE for the same reason Tyson's power looked huge: Because Foreman was KOing bums and cruisers at the beginning of his career:
At bout (since you are a fan of a momentary snapshot at bout instead of the career) when Foreman met Chuvalo Foreman's record was:
18 KOs, 3 dec
3.6 rounds per KO (that's good but Wlad and Tyson were better)
Median KOvictim: 197 lbs (yawn).
Foreman's heavyweight record (= 200+ opponents) at bout was 7-0
Foreman until that point KOed ONLY bums and cruisers.
You see, your reproach is typical ("It's the quality not the quantity") yet when I start to analyze my opinions and the reproachers' opinions then it always turns out that actually _I_ am the one who checks the quality whereas the reproachers have opinions based on quantity and signature bouts. I dissected this in my blog already on the "Typical reproaches page" and the "Toplist #1 page".
Foreman is one of the toppest KOers of all time. 1 or 2 leagues below Klitschko (both in terms of quantity and quality) but nevertheless.
Foreman vs Chuvalo was Foreman's pre-prime. Foreman didn't box in his prime.
Chuvalo has a hard chin, noone doubts that.
You are again reverting to an exceptional fight. With that same logic I could argue that Rahman is > Lennox because of that one fight.Last edited by hweightblogger; 02-26-2011, 08:05 AM.Comment

What is this infantile logic? "If Rahman can KO Lennox how can Lennox KO Rahman?"
Moreover Sanders is a tall southpaw.
Moreover why don't you start your logic with "If Buster could KO Tyson how can Tyson survive Wlad?"Comment
