Castillo-Corralles was an awesome fight but it will not go down as great of a fight as Gatti-Ward. Castillo-Corralles was more recent and that's the pure and only reason it gets more rep as of now.

terrible logic, the quality of fighters is a huge part of how goo the fight is. castillo corrales was more than two club figters going toe to toe becasue they cant box well, it was about skill, power and heart....if its so obvious that gatti ward was a better fight, how come 2/3rds of the people think the opposite?

Wrong. Level of skill has everything to dow ith judging what fight was better.

Gatti/Ward for as tough as those guys are they are pretty low on the skill level.

Castillo/Corrales were 2 legit p4p caliber fighters fighting for the undisputed Lightweight Championship Of The World.

Castillo/Corrales will no doubt go down as a greater fight because you dont get fighters that good fighting like that very often, it only happens ever few years.

I agree with this all the way. This is the absolute truth.

Gatti and Ward both went the distance, they both took some of the nastiest shots, they both took flush power shots like you wouldn't belive. Gatti/Ward all the way.
