The evidence hearing for Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s felony domestic violence case in Las Vegas has been reset to March 10. Mayweather, 33-years-old, appeared in a Las Vegas court on Monday with attorney Karen Winckler, adviser Leonard Ellerbe and girlfriend Shantel Jackson.
Mayweather is accused of hitting and threatening the mother of his children and threatening to beat two of the children during an argument at her home in September. Outside court, Mayweather declined to comment about the case. Mayweather, who denies any wrongdoing, could face up to 34 years in state prison if he’s convicted of all charges.

Mark said evidence hearing, So based on Mark saying they were at his evidence hearing. It is to my understanding Mayweather had to plea guilty or use his right to silence. However if he did that they should have assume his right of silence was his not guilty plea.
How I understand it, and just look it up to be sure.
If the defendant pleads guilty, an evidentiary hearing usually follows. The court is not required to accept a guilty plea. During the hearing, the judge will assess the offense, mitigating factors, and the defendant's character, and pass sentence.
If the defendant pleads not guilty, a date will be set for a preliminary hearing or a trial.
