In other words, Pacquiao is a cash register for HBO... no way in hell they would turn down any fight he was involved in that featured a name commodity like Shane Mosley. This is the byproduct of HBO picking Martinez over Cotto and Arum holding a grudge as always. So HBO basically lost 2 out of the 3 highest producers/earners in Boxing and the third is MIA.

But yeah, they turned down a million buy PPV because they thought Berto was the more lucrative option

There is no reason for HBO not to have taken this fight. Do i think they are killing themselves over the move? No. They would have spent some money to make it big.

But HBO would gladly take this fight.

...and that is coming from someone who wouldn't piss on Pac if he was on fire.

                Truth is truth.

No. The endorsements go to the promoters/fighters.

When GBP gets DeWalt tools and Tecate to sign on as sponsors for mayweather-marquez, HBO doesn't share in that revenue.

So that could be it, couldn't it. Arum making this deal because of a personal grudge.

If the CBS aspect pays off and they sell lots of PPV's, great. But what if it doesn't work out that way.

Who offers more money to air the fight a week later on their network, Sho or HBO? It's gotta be HBO, so that's less money for Pac and Arum is ****ing with Manny's business over personal vendetta.

I'm a Layman in this, I'm just doing guess work and could be all wrong.

So they do not have their own advertisements along with what GBP or Top Rank have then?

I suppose having high viewers and 8% of the share is still good, because normally it's just the viewers with TV adverts as income.
