    Overall viewership
    PPV revenues generated
    Etc...

HBO Sports is not just boxing.

I actually like GBP and hope they succeed. Competition is always good for the sport.

I just wish GBP made an effort to showcase more of there fighters. Unless it's a PPV event, you really aren't going to see there mid to lower level fighters...which is a shame.

If I were them, then I would use HBO Latino to build up stars like Canelo and Mares. Biggers fights on HBO and some PPV's but there other bouts....I would really use that (HBO Latino) to build up there fan base.

I would also ink a better deal with Foxsports net or even someone like Versus. Anything to get my fighters exposure and bouts on TV will go a long way as far as building them up.

There is no excuse for us not too see talented guys like Jorge Linares, Danny Jacobs, Chris John, Erislandy Lara and others on TV more.

God I hate Arum. Seriously. Why does boxing attract the worst kind of people? What a rat.

Agreed. And they would just compress the budget from, say, $80 million to $65 million for the next fiscal year.

Perhaps one reason why Greenburg didn't aggressively pursue the fight is the expense related to these fights: 24/7's are about $300K per episode, production costs of digital media and Face-Offs, etc.

Pac-marg, for example, got unprecedented support ($$$) by HBO. Per Umstead.

It may not be the worst thing for HBO.

Again: allowed Floyd to buy out of his contract for $750K, thereby missing out on sharing revenues of $270 million.

THAT is why Arum hates Floyd.
Arum hates Floyd because he got over on him and Arum always feels he is the smartest man in the room certainly no fighter should ever get over on him.

It has to suck when someone whose intelligence you have little respect for outsmarts you (when people usually lavish you with praise about how clever you are).

                BTW,

LOL @ Arum offering a higher guarantee for Margarito than for Cotto or Hatton

Notice that Arum also admitted that Floyd would have fought Margarito. But when he got angry at Floyd, he tried to ruin PBF's rep.

Floyd was big at that point though, so using Floyd's name to build his guy makes a lot of sense.

He spent a lot on Floyd so he would think he need to get some use out of his name, just to make him feel better. It was killing two birds with one stone though and it was probably the****utic for Arum to just get all his feeling about Floyd out there, probably a lot cheaper to go that route also as Dr. are $$$$.

It is so simple though, the funny thing to me is when people list the fighters Floyd is afraid of and they are all Top Rank guys, really now~
