Boxing Wins With Pacquiao-Mosley on Showtime/CBS

Dont you bunch of morons see the good side of this? 24/7 on CBS, that means boxing gets to be mainstream again. CBS can promote this in ways HBO cant even dream of.

I mean comercials, promotion on their shows a 24/7-Fight Camp 360 type special, ect, ect, ect

The fight itself might not be all that for us harcore fans but will bring a bunch of fans back to the sport and maybe boxing becomes mainstream again, more exponsors, ect, ect

Plus it will a action packed fight even if it is a one side beatdown. The new viewers will not get bored, watching a Calderon vs Iribe or a Mayweather-Baldomir type fight.

This is a great thing for boxing

True this is great for Boxing but I will not be pleased until I can see Free Quality Boxing back on national television for the masses to view again.

Plus the undercard of this fight is great too, with Soto-antillon 2 and Vazquez-arce. Not to mention, Juanma and Cotto both being on Showtime now. HBO is getting royaly ****ed

i think this should be tempered somewhat. a lot of it depends on the quality of the advertising done and what they are forced to compromise for the 24/7 like series. if ppl dont find it interesting, then it can definitely backfire.

i just cant watch national tv. besides the sitcoms, the quality of the shows pale in comparison to hbo and even showtime (dexter is the best show out). so to me, it all depends on what the series comes out looking like. but then again, i dont think it'll be geared to us. we are already sold on boxing so who knows...

Dont you read? Beside Mayweather, Mosley is the other name americans will recoggnize. The guy who deserve to fight Pacquiao is JMM, but Mosley makes more sense if you are trying to get more american exposure
