It's quite a good move if you're showtime, they manage to snatch one of only two active fighters who can sell over a million PPV's from HBO.
Showtime has always been 2nd to HBO in terms of big name match ups, this and Hopkins-Pascal are slowly building up it's portfolio, they have Juanma for his next few fights and the Super 6 final as well as Bute who will probably fight the winner of the super 6.
It's a win win really, Showtime builds up its profile and gets better fights in the future (hopefully) and HBO is willing to turn down BIG fights it doesn't like and we get quality match ups.
