I guess I'm in the minority on this. I'm OK with this fight. It's a stay busy fight that he wants in Puerto Rico and Salido was better than all the other names that were being mentioned as a possible opponent.

Plus Salido is tough guy, who can give you rounds. And, is a top 10 featherweight. Ever since Juanma has moved up to featherweight. And, this will be his 4th top 10 featherweight in 4 fights at featherweight.

Is not really that bad at all for a stay busy hometown fight.

The same way I see it!!! I mean the names mentioned were Litzau(fighting i dont know who at 130), Kennedy(mehh, he sign to fight someone else), Cordoba(went into hiding mode), thisss is not bad at all

After analyzing Salido before the Gamboa fight and predicting him giving Yuri a tough fight, depsite most claiming he'd get blownout, I see a similarly tough fight in Lopez' future, but the scores might be even closer.

The way Salido consistently landed his right hand on Guerrero, while being good defensively bodes well against Lopez. Lopez' lack of defense and lack of reflexes (except with the right hook) will continue to get him into trouble against good boxers. His conditioning and power will continue to save him from losing, but only up until a certain point.

Gamboa had trouble because Gambo doesnt set up anything with a ja and doesnt have very good boxing skills: he just flurries with his fast hands move a bit and repeat and gasses after 6. Well solis gamboas oppenent is not a bum he is pretty good.

Its salido, and he's pretty stiff with competition, but I believe gambao fought the wrong type of fight that night.temember after the postt fight interviewer he said he was making adustments which imo he shouldn't of.the old gamboa was just fine.saildo on the other hand is tailor made for lopez.

Now for a fact I know that Salido THREW away his fight aganist Gamboa because he went out to party and drink the night before people!!! And it was still a good fight!! Salido could've even pulled the upset!!!

Hasegawa or Johnny Gonzalez. But then again, since those guys are fighting each other I guess that takes them out of the equation. Or better yet, how about a top guy from 122 like Poonsowat? Even if it had to be at a catch weight. This fight sucks and you keep defending this punk.
