correct. If a fighter retires 100-0 and hasnt even beaten any top opponents, why should I care? a guy who was 1-99, with that one win over a top opponent has accomplished more than the guy feasting on bums

Butterbean was at one point 62-1. Had he retired then, would he have been considered better than Wladimir and Vitali? after all, 62-1 is much better than 55-3 or 41-2.

Holyfield draw with Lewis is more of an achievement than anything the Klits have done.

I really can't have a serious conversation if you can't comprehend that you have to compare world champs with world champs. Wlad for instance beat 7 world champs just 1 shy of Lewis, their level of competition is comparable. When we talk about comparing Wlad, we have to compare him to other world champions. Butterbean has never even fought for a title, he is domestic level at best, do you understand the difference? If you don't, I don't see how we can have an intelligent debate.

Ok so Sven Ottke is an ATG according to your logic, so was Edwin Valero and Erdei and JCC Jr.... Okay all atg legends got ya... move the **** along idiot... in BOXING resume is way more important than record.

oh, so now were talking about quality of opposition I see.

and thats the whole point: your record doesnt matter. its who you beat that matters.

Wladimir has accomplished a lot. no doubt about it. but now youre starting to count paper titlists, which is unfair since there are 4+ titles nowadays. If you want to talk about lineal champs, thats fair: but Wladimir has faced none.

best way to do it is to look at who has beaten the most top fighters in the division when each fighter fought them. And Wladimir has beaten plenty!

If you want to, we can do it that way: well judge them by how many top fighters in the division they beat. sound fair?

Is Edwin Valero better than Roberto Duran? After all Valero had 100% KO ratio and was undefeted 2 weight world champ... So he should be an ATG right? Lol Valero as much as I liked him didn't beat any elite fighters.

              Resume is all that matters.

Records are important, and you're right, they're the most objective measure we have. But is a win over Ray Austin more significant than a win over Mike Tyson? Does a loss to either one mean the same thing? When evaluating competitive athletes, their objective numbers must be weighed against the subjective level of opposition.

That being said, I don't think there's much question that Evander Holyfield's resume trumps either Klitschko brother in the heavyweight class alone. Granted, the K bros. haven't had the chance to fight the same quality of fighters Evander did, but that's another story....

It will be amusing to see the hardcore Klitschko **** come in here and try to make a case for the Klitschkos having a better resume. Lol. ****in inbred idiots.
can't blame the klits, they are in the worst HW division ever.

The only joke here is the dumbass Klitschko nuthuggers who seriously believes the Klitshckos resume is better than Holyfields.
