You have your own reasons for thinking the Klitschko's are more hype than substance & that's fine but to blame it on the fans who don't think in this manner is just simply making up excuses for your own dislike of the brothers.
I dont dislike either brother, so good job being delusional.

and thats exactly what Im talking about. Fans on this site can sit back and admire the brothers and how they have the entire division in their fists. even if theyre not the biggest fans of their style, they respect both brothers. but then wackos like you are constantly jumping down peoples throats at the least bit mention of something negative about either brother.

Its exactly like Pacquiao. I like Pacquiao as a person, his style is great to watch, hes an ATG, and hes great for the public image of boxing. Gotta be one of my favorite fighters in the sport.
but when his insane fans start going nuts about him and bring him up in every sentence, and start pretending hes some sort of unstoppable force, and will attack you if you dare suggest someone could beat him...
Man, I just want the guy to get KOed real quick to shut them up.

There are people on this website that hate the Klitschkos for ******ed reasons, and theyre idiots. but a lot of other people cannot stand rabid Klitschko zombies and wish Wladimir would get KOed just to shut them up.

They obviosly didn't face the same opponents but that doesn't change the fact Vitali has the better numbers than Lewis against all other opponents & clearly outboxed Lennox when they fought each other.

Vitali has also won versions of the belt 3 different times just like LEnnox. One fighter never faced the comp another fighter.... so the logical way to see who's better is to give the fighter that fought the perceived better comp the edge.

All logic to me at least states that Vitali would've gotten the same results WITHOUT being ktfo twice along the way. If Lewis gets the nod because he faced better comp..something vitali never had the priviledge of facing & this is used against Vitali UNFAIRLY...THEN I'LL JUST go to the numbers which states Vitali WAS more dominant against foes he did face through no fault of his own.

As you can see it's just opinionated subjective that goes both ways. The only real thing we have to distinguish who was better was the 6 rds they fought each other.. all that other stuff is pure speculation based on their competition & NOT their skills which IMO should always be the deciding factor in any argument in ANY sport when judging athletes from different eras. Too much emphasis gets placed on opposition & NOT enough emphasis gets placed on the actual fighter.
But surely the fighter gets judged on who they actually beat?

I agree that it is not Vitali's fault that the HW division has not been strong for the last decade. The fact is though, Vitali has lost to the two best fighters he ever faced.

And I think you read far too much into the Lewis fight. Lewis was certainly nowhere near his best which is why he retired after the fight.

      Quote from Lewis:

"So, when it came time for me to see if I should fight Klitschko again, I thought - at my worst, at my worst! I beat Klitschko and look what I did to his face! I was at my worst - just think [what would’ve happened] if I’d trained just a little bit harder. I didn’t need to fight him again"

Son......way too defensive here. I was just focusing on what you..yourself stated. From what you're stating..you put too much stock into what others think & therefore it aids in clouding your judgment one way or the other. Like or hate something because you wanna..,.NOT because someone elses' views irritate you.

My rankings or judgement of fighters is not based at all on how much I like them.

Since this is the only place I talk about boxing, yes, it does get irritating occasionally when 'boxing fans' get so obsessive and are so one track theyre impossible to talk to.

although being irritated on the internet is the equivilant of having an itch on my foot to me, so portrayal of my mood on a boxing forum is hardly the equivilant of what I feel in real life.

That was a very programmed response. If I HAD a dime for everytime i heard he lost to the 2 best fighters he ever fought.. id' be one rich dude. The truth is he got injured against 2 of the best fighters he ever fought while winning handily in both fights.. Those are the facts.. yes he has an L ON HIS RECORD next to both names.... but we all KNOW what happened in those fights for him to have gotten those losses..that would've most probably been surefire wins otherwise if not for him getting physically disabled.

As for Lewis talking **** on his way out...that's just bravado & convincing himself that he was still the man... he wAS ACTING LIKE a fan & hater of the Klitschko's there & said exactly what they would say. I wouldn't put too much stock inb that ...son.

The Klits are basically another version of Joe Calzaghe for most of his career, who were good in their division but facing little real competition can't be considered greats.

Vitali was not injured against Lewis. Lewis split his face open - that is boxing...son.

You all act like Lewis made the decision to cut Vitali & that he threw a bomb from leftfield to create the cut....he was in a clinch (close quarters) & caught Vitali with the lacing of his glove while holding Vitali with the other hand. Not exactly a skillful shot...more like like a cheap one. But Vitali didn't cry.. he still kept throwing & landing more punches than Lewis to the bitter end. ALL compubox stats showed he outlanded & outthrew LEWIS in each & every single rd. He might've as well have taken an axe like HAYE did & severed his head. Guess what Vitali WOULD'VE still kept coming if NOT for THE dr. on the payroll!
