You all act like Lewis made the decision to cut Vitali & that he threw a bomb from leftfield to create the cut....he was in a clinch (close quarters) & caught Vitali with the lacing of his glove while holding Vitali with the other hand. Not exactly a skillful shot...more like like a cheap one. But Vitali didn't cry.. he still kept throwing & landing more punches than Lewis to the bitter end. ALL compubox stats showed he outlanded & outthrew LEWIS in each & every single rd. He might've as well have taken an axe like HAYE did & severed his head. Guess what Vitali WOULD'VE still kept coming if NOT for THE dr. on the payroll!

There is no possibly way lacing on a glove created this kind of a cut.


as for the actual fight, no one actually knows who would have won if it had continued. Vitali was ahead, yep, but his face was gushing and he had just been rocked by a short right hand at the end of the round and also started to eat big right uppercuts.
And after all, it was only the 6th round. only half the scheduled fight was over.

it would have been anyones fight at that point, had it continued.

I don't know BlackIrish, I once got my face too close to the shoes that I was tying, and it ripped my face up twice as bad as that. I'm pretty sure it was the laces that did that.

The initial punch that caused the cut was from the lacing of the glove as replays showed with Lewis glove turned sideways. Way to look at the end result of Vitali's face for proof that it wasn't from the lacing of the glove. All punches after that caused all the other lacerations ensuing from the initial cut & Vitali's waning defense after that. Nice try though. That cut doesn't happen... Vitali's face wouldn't have ripped up by Lewis' further onslaught.
