But anyway, what a ****** f.ucking write up this was!! I dont know the guy that wrote it, tbh I dont geek out and remember the writers names etc, is this guy credible? This is complete shyte, Khan won the fight, if you cant see that then you are as blind as Stevie Wonder. Everyone slagged Khan off for fighting sissy punchers like Paulie and Salita etc, heck I was one of them haters. People said he'd never get in the ring with Rene, but then Khan gets into the ring, puts him on his a.ss with a body shot. Then takes a HUGE battering in round 10, most people would of bet their lives that Khan would be KO'd in that round, yet Khan battles back and wins a close but clear decision. So what do people do? They write BS articles like this one and talk soooo much ish, a cow would be ashamed.
Watch round 10 again you will see amir clearly clinging to Maidana's right arm with both arms one punch from being KTFO. While Maidana's left is free and clubbing him then Cortez wraps Marcos up and gives Khan time to rest and recover. Clearly saving the fight for the hype job.

Your BLIND, Khan had his back turned at one point and Rene tried to hit him from behind, Cortez stepped in. It was coinsidence that it was at the same time Khan was wobbled. Cortez would of done the same even if Khan had just put Maidana on the floor, if Rene got up for the count and then the same thing played out (Khan having his back turned slightly, then Maidana still trying to punch him) then Cortez would of stepped in like he did aswell.

Thats called Clinching, its a technique used when fighters are in trouble. EG, watch Floyd vs Shane round two, Floyd gets rocked, he grabs hold and clinches. Its clever and shows the fighter is experienced.

I don't believe in coinsidence lol, my friend that was by design. Cortez was brought in to protect Amere Con and anybody with eyes who watched the fight could see that.

Amir even won round 11 IMO so the writer is wrong by saying that Amir was holding on in the last 3 rounds. Even round 12 is debatable.
Exactly, look at Clottey vs Pac, Pac looked like he lost the fight at the end with all the bruises on his face, but we ALL know who won that, Pac ****d him. So this theory sucks dont it Waz me ole pal!!!

LOL... I hate Cortez as much as you do pal, but IMHO he was doing his job for those few seconds. He still sucks as a ref. If Amir didnt have his back turned so much, then I'd completly agree that Cortez was trying to save Khan, but because Khans back was turned, its my opinion that he was just trying to stop Rene from rabbit punching Khans brains out of his nose.

Very true, but for the Khan fight, the part of the fight we are talking about, I think Cortez did his job fine, he stopped Khan from getting Rabbit ****d by Rene.
