Trainer Freddie Roach is confident that unbeaten middleweight contender Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will win a major championship in 2011. Roach is in Mexico training Chavez for his fight with Billy Lyell on January 29. If victorious, Chavez will possibly return in May against unbeaten Sebastian Zbik for the WBC interim-middleweight title.

To all you BITTERS out there. CHAVEZ Jr. will win a major title this year. I am willing to bet every time he fights, nomatter who he fights. I don't get into all the hype. The kid can fight and I'll let my points do all the talking when it's time. I'm tired of the disrespect for certain fighters on here. From COTTO, to NUNN to CHAVEZ Jr., to HOLYFIELD, to BERTO, to MOORE. You guys are just ignorant and want to argue moot points. Yet you praise fighters like HOPKINS and MAYWEATHER with their juiced up resume`s. MAYWEATHER would get murdered in the ring by LEONARD, just like his daddy did. WHITAKER is the greatest defensive fighter ever. STOP comparing MAYWEATHER to him. There is no comparison. You can hit MAYWEATHER with jabs and body shots, you could barely touch WHITAKER anywhere. AND he fought the best! HOPKINS would have been K.O.ed by HOLYFIELD at lightheavy weight.
