Wow, boxing latest fashion trend, fighting fighters on the decline.

And we wonder why our sport takes a hit to this MMA ****.

The Funny thing is Canelo is a more advanced version of a 20 year old Cotto.

This has been the norm for the entire history of boxing. The young lion over takes the old lion. Where have u been?

Really Canelo would beat a prime Cotto? Lmfao.. Canelo almost got knocked out by Cottos brother who isnt eve that good.. lol.. Dude a war torn Cotto today.. beats this kid easily. and Im not saying this because im some Cotto nut hugger. I beleive Cotto has lost a few steps.. and probably looses his rematch with Margo.. But I think he would easily beat Canelo at this point .. Canelo still needs alot of work.

Not to this extent where more fighters are given PPV play in doing so. If there weren’t immanent competitive threat like the MMA counterpart I’d agree with you wholeheartedly but right now the state of the game is quite embarrassing.

You have Gamboa fighting recycled leftovers, you have Juanma picking the lesser path of greatness with the least amount of resistance, you have JCC JR not too far behind if not leading the pack of artificial greatness.

            What next?

I like Alvarez, dont think he would be ready for Cotto any time soon though.

Until I see Canelo face a good opposition or elite fighter I will not give my opinion about this kid . He got some skills but everybody knows he didn't face anybody good yet . What I can say is when your good you are good period . In the history of boxing we have champs before the age of 20 years . How long they waiting for this kid . He got almost 40 fights already . Like Chavez Jr almost like 50 fights and didn't fight for a tittle yet is ridiculos . If they are not ready for professional boxing stay on amateurs period . Vazquez Jr is already a champ and never fight in amateur plus he not even have 20 fights yet .
