Ortiz has a better chin than what he used to have...he was slightly drained against Peterson...not fitigued but he didn't have that much strength...I think that what Ortiz realized after the Peterson fight is not to box with a boxer or to brawl with a brawler...Ortiz should learn how to stiffen up that jab and go straight forward against slick fighters like Peterson and Berto...when Ortiz throws more than 1 punch he puts his opponents in a tough spot...Peterson hit Ortiz with some clean wide shots...I hope that Ortiz gets Roach to train him for this upcomming fight and he sticks with Garcia to corner him...I noticed that Garcia corners Ortiz well and analyzes the fight well...what he messed up on was when he told Ortiz to back off Peterson when Peterson was hurt...This time he won't do that...Ortiz has good head movement what Ortiz doesn't know how to do is to block and mitt his opponents punches...if someone taught Ortiz how to block punches and helped him stiffen up the jab then Ortiz would be flawless when it came to skill...

What Berto would have to do to win is to use his speed...he's faster than Peterson, but Berto has to be careful in the early rounds...he should pitty pat Ortiz early and land power shots to win after the early rounds...if he gets too careless he could get KO'd...Ortiz goes hard after the first round and will try to get you out of there early...you can't fall for his game or you will lose...

honestly this is not berto picking on a smaller guy size wise.ortiz is a huuuge jww. **** hes bigger than many ww's. i think its time he moved up anyways, it might do wonders for his career.

but with that said, berto is wrong for picking this fight. ortiz was not impressive in his last performance. he's not at all ready to face berto. its a cherrypick for that reason.

What is all of this deserve/worthy crap?

Some how Marg wasn't worthy to fight Floyd but Mitchell, Bruseles, amd Zab coming off a lost were worthy.

Berto doesn't deserve to fight Pac. But, somehow Clottey, Marg, Mosley were.

Now Cintron/Clottey isn't worthy to fight Berto. But, Ortiz(who hasn't done a damn thing at 140 besides going on a senior citizen tour), Hernandez, and a Mexican cop(who got fired for taking the damn fight) are all deserved challengers.
