Three, WHY IS THIS FIGHT IN DETROIT?!? Neither fighter is from the detroit, neither fighter has any ties to Detroit, and quite frankly, the sad truth is boxing is pretty dead in detroit right now.

Ok, so I understand that team bradley wouldn't want to give the home field advantage to alexander on a fight of this magnitude, but seriously, there are literally dozens, if not hundreds of locations better than detroit!
Yup on all points. Detroit is in shambles as a city. Unemployment, dead economy etc. Maybe they were hoping to draw some money to the city?

Who knows, but this would be sad to see (empty seats) on HBO. I'm sure they will sell more come fight time, but if not, i would suggest they GIVE THEM AWAY to some folks.

Exactly. Pontiac is like a forty five minute drive outside of Detroit. But when I was working in Ferndale people were telling me Pontiac is WAY WORSE than Detroit.

Detriot is one of the brokest cities in America right now with a declining population. King and Shaw really ****ed this one up. They should held this fight in ATL or the Mohegan Sun.

True, going to a fight is an event and a day out and costs money. Still though, from 25 dollars it's pretty damn cheap.

Promoters milked Vegas and don't spend some money for undercards. Shiet like that in the long term kills boxing...

Get names out under big stars, that way you make more fans jump to other fighters.

The person really on the hook is the one that paid that 600 grand~ I assume they offered it because they need events in the Silverdome.
Ouch.. If this is true (339 tickets sold).. whoever funded the 600 k is ****ed. How much are Bradley/Alexander getting paid? This is not a good sign for boxing. However, I'm sure that there will be many tuning in to watch this fight.

Cool man. I'm just gonna' get cheap seats. ($25.) I live in Windsor, so I gotta' cross the border and all that, and I don't wanna' risk getting turned back. So I'm not gonna' put too much money on tickets. (American customs are terrible.) When I get my tickets, I'll let u know. Maybe we could meet up there.

Pontiac is NASTY if you are in the wrong area. You follow the same exact rules in Detroit stop only when needed and always make sure you have an escape route. Roads in Pontiac are less confusing though so I find it much less dangerous.

There are some nice bars though and it borders the nicest area in Michigan so if you are in the decent areas you are ok.

                    .........

They should have held this fight in Europe. It would be sold out in the UK. America doesn't deserve fights like these.
it is unsettling a fight like this receives little attention/publicity, while pacquiao-mosley will probably be sold out.

This is more of a hardcore fans fight and the numbers reflect it. Mayweather-Corrales was a box-office bust too.
