From reading that article dude posted a link to Nonito seems to have had the same problem PBF had with his father. I actually resepct what Nonito has done. Nonito is a grown man and if his father can't accept that then that is his father problem.

Finally, someone I can relate with. Filipinos should stop imposing their "respect elders" crap regardless how abusive elders may be. And many even take pride on that.

The fans would benefit from having Pacquiao and Nonito on the same card...the money we spend on the PPV would seem more worth it.

But as usual what's good for the fans is not what's good for Bob Arum.

Arum just likes to nickle and dime fans by spreading his stars out on ppv's.

I mean put yourselves in Arum's shoes.

Why put Nonito and Manny on the same card, when you can have a PPV for $65 bucks in Nov., then another one (Donaire as the headline) for $55 bucks.

It's also the same reason Juanma and Cotto are never on the same card and neither were guys like Montiel and Margarito etc.

Juanma=Latin Fury PPV

Donaire= Pinoy Power PPV

Manny=Major HBO PPV

That's the most likely reason.

oh sure there are some who really like the kid and all but a lot, way too many for my liking, simply call him a Manny wannabe etc

Honestly I think the main reason why there is a cold sense between the two sides is part

because he is not on MP
because he is a Fil-Am who lives in the US and Manny is a Filipino who comes to fight in the US
because Rachael has an active role in his career

So there is a little bit of truth in all of the reasons that have been mentioned.

Nonito needs to keep winning, end of story.

Maybe Filipino's will take more ownership of Donaire if he attempted to reunite with his dad, or at least not be estranged from him?

And maybe he could take a fight to Manilla or General Santos ?

donaire rules up to jnr light, montiel will be destroyed like sidorenko, donaire will smash pacman one day, nonito will be a 3 division champ by next month and he is still very young, he can b a 4,5 or 6 div champ maybe more.
