So why is'nt Vlad arranging the Adamek fight close to the July 2nd date???
Why are they talking about many months after instead of around the same time frame if Vlad was serious about fighting Haye on July 2nd surely he could fight Adamek aroun the same time?.

      exactly
      I couldn't agree more

No the WBA would have given him a pass on the Chagaev fight if it fought Wlad on july 2nd, but since Haye canceled the july 2nd fight,he now must face his mandatory

It really doesnt matter that Wlad is fighting Adamek in september,it is a moot point. The fact is Wlad was willing to fight Haye on july 2nd,regaurdless that it was 9 weeks after his fight with Chisora,in the for what ever reasons Haye wants to give,Haye was the one in the end that said no to the fight on july 2nd.

            It shows 2 points

firstly that Vlad was not willing to fight elsewhere to make the dates far more flexible...and secondly it shows Vlad is not willing to fight Adamek so close to a Chisora fight which makes it curious why he would say he would be willing to fight Haye at that time frame.

Reason is cos Wlad signed to face Chisora never mind the fact that this means he has to do his mandatory by the way, that Haye can't sign a unification bout with Wlad cos he might not be champion after the Chisora fight. Therefore WBA won't sanction him to sign to face Wlad unless they know for sure he will be champion at the time they sign on to fight.
LOL at the irony. You're the one who has no clue whatsoever. Of course Haye could sign now to fight Wlad in July, just as Adamek is about to sign now to fight Wlad in September, just as Mayweather and Judah signed a contract, before Judah's tune-up with Boldomir, to fight each other after Boldomir had fought Judah; just as De La Hoya and Hopkins signed a contract, before De La Hoya's tune-up with Sturm, to fight each other after De La Hoya had fought Sturm; - and there are many other precedents.

And of course the WBA wouldn't have enforced the mandatory, if Haye had signed now, after they had already agreed that Haye could defend against Wlad in July.

And even in the vanishingly unlikely event that the WBA did try to enforce it, Chagaev would certainly have taken a step-aside fee as long as he was guaranteed a shot at the winner, just as Ruiz did when Haye wanted to fight Valuev.

As for the possibility that Chisora might beat Wlad, if you really believe that, I have a very nice second hand car I'd like to sell you. In any case, as I said, there are many precedents for exactly this situation. Such contracts get signed all the time.

You really should learn a bit about boxing before you accuse other people of not having a clue!!!

I bet u said the same thing about sander fight aswel...i think the odds were 20/1 on for that fight even longer than the Chisora fight. If its aforgone conclusion then why do they need to fight anyway.I always presumed the whole reason for the Chisora fight was to help promote the Haye/Vlad fight. If thats not the reason and its now gfot in the way of the real fight then whats the point of it?.

Wlad is a far better fighter now than he was then, and Chisora is no Sanders. Sanders was inconsistent but at his best he was world class.

It's a stay busy fight for Wlad, that's all. Chisora is not a bum like Harrison, but he's not world class either. But he's good enough to give Wlad a reasonably competitive and entertaining fight for a few rounds, which is what you need in a stay busy fight.

At first I thought the Chisora fight was a tune-up fight. Maybe it really was but that is not what Vlad is saying. Vlad is saying that he is taking on Chisora because he thinks Haye will pull out and more than likely he would not have fought Chisora otherwise.

Now I may buy into all that but then come back and say that he is close to signing with Adamak in September? ALREADY??? What's the rush Vlad?

So the question is, how serious was Vlad with signing with Haye when he was already close to signing with Adamak .... and Chisora appears to be a done deal? It's not like Haye made his statement months ago. It was days ago. Plus Haye's could have still changed his mind after thinking about it a couple of weeks or even months. Haye's hasn't signed with anyone yet!!! Maybe they could have worked something out, somehow. How badly did they really want it????

Why was Vlad already dealing with Adamak when he had the Hayes deal? That is the question. Was it that he had this funny feeling that Haye would pull out if Vlad would pull a stunt of having a fight 9 weeks before the Haye's fight? Well, even Vlad said he was thinking about Haye's pulling out. So was that Vlad's plan all along and hope the Haye's fight doesn't happen?

Let's face it. If Vlad has Chisora and Adamak close to signing, he may not have been that serious about the Haye's fight. Think about it,..... all I'm saying is that if you really wanted to fight this guy named Haye's that badly, you may have approached it a little differently.

Yes, Haye said what he said but Vlad did what he did .... Again, this smells from BOTH sides.

The way I'm reading this, they BOTH DON'T WANT TO FIGHT EACH OTHER!!!
actaully , Wlad said that the july 2nd is still open if Haye would just agree and sign the contract

Exactly. And as for the rest of that guy's post, it's obvious that Wlad did what he did simply because he doesn't trust Haye. And I don't blame him.
