Not sayin he would have won, but he would've had his moments similar to how he cornered Pac briefly. Floyd would be able to land at will but we've seen with Marg before his ability to be able to walk through punches & frustrate opponents.

I can see your analysis but what I would say is Mayweather is much better at backpedalling and moving around the ring defensively (desperately trying not to say 'running') than any fighter Margarito has ever faced, including Pacquiao, he's also very streetwise and can not only stick to a gameplan but adapt it during a fight.

I guess the one chance Margarito would have imo is if Mayweather's punches had hardly any effect on him and he managed to walk straight through them every time allowing him to get close every time. Not impossible as Floyd's power isn't great at all at 147 and Margo is much bigger with great punch resistance, but it seems unlikely.
