Is Pacquiao the undisputed WW champ?

The clue is in the word 'undisputed' if you have to ask then it can be disputed. Floyd is the closest thing to the lineal division champ, because a line has kind of built up im Cotto-Marg-Shane-Floyd, unfortunately Pac can't really be the champ until Floyd takes the fight, it's sad having the champion who doesn't want to fight.Comment

Think we had this debate before. Its nothing to do with Ring. I believe your logic was that Margarito vs Cotto was a box off for the lineage which it wasnt because Paul Williams beat Margarito.Comment

...I think he'd have to become the undisputed welterweight champ to become the undisputed welterweight champ, probably. But, hey, that's just me.
Edit: HAHAHAHA 13 people voted yes...Would those people please look up what it means to be undisputed champion.Comment

yeah I don't think their is a lineal champ at WW.
Floyd was the lineal champ but once you retire, according to the rules, you lose that title.
The only way he could have had it is if Cotto vs Margarito was for the lineal title, something I highly doubt considering how deep WW wad at that time.Comment

Some would argue that with his past status (lineal champ whom no one broke the line) that taking out Mosley would restart his line or basically continue it.yeah I don't think their is a lineal champ at WW.

I don't know if I agree with that or not but when discussing this topic that was an argument I got.Comment

naah bro it don't really work like that.
When there is no lineal champ, before a bout take place, it has to be stated it's for the lineal title.
There was never any mention of it leading up to Mosley vs Mayweather.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I can do some research to find out.Comment

The only way he is lineal champ is if you argue that he never lost it when he "retired". It has nothing to do with him beating MosleyComment
