So what happens if Chagaev cant fight in the UK? Does Haye get stripped?

Surely the WBA can wait until May 1st at which point Wlad's situation becomes clearer. They were apparently going to let Haye fight Wlad on July 2nd, so why does that need to change just because Wlad is taking an interim fight?

Or am I speaking too sensibly and logically for a governing body?

Also factor in this guy is just getting over an injury sustained in training camp. It's unfeasible.
Wlad's older, injury prone brother fought Arreola and Johnson within a similar time frame (9 weeks) so it was more than feasible for Wlad to do the same, especially since by the time the Chisora fight comes round Wlad would have had nearly five months to recover. I'm not saying it was ideal, but leaving aside the promotional stuff for a moment, there was no physical reason it couldn't have been done.

Thank you saviour of the HW division, I bet the Brits are mighty proud of you.
I think it's very unlikely he'll want to fight Valuev again. The first fight was a stinker and the only reason he was able to generate such interest in the first place was the novelty factor. Now that he's beaten him (dodgy decision aside) there's really no angle on which to build the fight. My guess is it's still gonna be Holyfield.

Told you guys a Chagaev fight wouldn't be able to take place until after Klitschkos fight, thus ending any chance at a fight in July.

Why Wlad is fighting Chisora is beyond me.

He had both fights lined up. Where's the chickening out?

I very much doubt Booth said that, they see the Wlad fight as a near dead issue. I don't know how the author of this article see's a Wlad-Haye fight as possible 30-40 days after Haye fights in May in the modern era. I knew it wasn't never gonna be possible for Wlad to fight Haye in July after fighting in April. Haye needs to forget the idea of retiring in October of he wants to leave the game with a legacy and i'm a Haye fan.

Nah, if Ruslan can't get medical clearance, Haye would usually be allowed to fight the #2 as a mandatory defense. However, the #2 is Denis Boystov who is out with a hand injury. I don't even know who the #3 is. Probably Sam Peter.

According to their latest rating it's

                  #1 Chagaev
                  #2 Boytsov
                  #3 Povetkin

                  So, Haye-Povetkin?

That's actually not a bad fight. Though with a high chance of "pussing-out"iness.

Yep, from both parts Next at #4 is Ustinov, who sucks, would be a terrible fight.
