That one is going to be interesting.
Chagaev has been looking horrible ever since his loss to Klitschko, but he is still one of the elite heavyweights. If Haye beats him, this is his biggest accomplishment at heavyweight.

Haye's only fighting Chagaev because his last fight showed that he is only a elite fighter in name and his skilled have really deteriorated and he is on the down side of his career. So, in other words it is the "Ruiz factor" and it is the right time for Haye to fight him. And Haye could fight his mandatory in March and still fight Wlad in July. So, what is really the problem?

WTF. Why does Haye have to fight Chagaev in May, I'm sure he could fight him in March, which would give him enough preparation for Wlad in early July. Then a potential fight with Vitali in late Septemer or early October.

Chagaev is Haye's mandatory - thats why he's fighting him. He can still fight Wladimir in August maybe, but it is Wlad that ducked this time.

He has Hepatitis. He probably won't be allowed to fight in the UK because of the health and safety legislature.

The fight should happen in Europe somewhere. E.g. Republic of Ireland. But I wouldn't be surprised if it happened somewhere else, like Dubai.

July 2nd won't happen. The fight, if it does happen, would be in September. If Haye wins, he might just consider fighting again in late-2011 e.g. Decemeber, against Vitali or a rematch with Wlad.

If Haye beats Wlad and become lineal champ, and successfully defends it against him in the rematch and then retires, he has a good chance of making it into the Hall of Fame as a two-weight Lineal Champ and undisputed Heavyweight champ.

That's IF the fight happens and if he wins.

I used to rate Chagaev highly......until he fought Matt Skelton. He's not the same fighter he was at all - but has still got himself in the mandatory position - so props to him.

8 weeks training camps, at least 2 weeks promoting the fight before hand makes it impossible to really fight in march unless they get everything sorted quickly which wont be possible due to the medical issues
