I think one of the things that killed that fight was the fact Schaefer was talking about future fights for Khan while the one with JMM was still in negotiations and that's why Beristain made that stepping stone allegation which holds weight. By the sound of it, Schaefer already had his mind made up that he was gonna screw JMM out of a decision if it came to that and I think that's one of the things that upset Beristain. That along with the fact that Khan is a lot bigger and has good speed has Beristain and JMM worried too of course.
