I'ts been the other way around since Khan beat Barrera at lightweight. Khan admitted he was not ready and would not be for 3-4 more fights. What he was doing was waiting for JM marquez to get a little older maybe a little more battle worn!! who knows?? I still think they will fight at 140 soon and IMO JM Marquez still has enough left in him to school Khan, especially with his uppercuts and combinations, It would be like when Hopkins schooled Pavlik and Pascal!!

No way man. The way I remember it Khan was gonna fight the JMM-Diaz winner but JMM was made to fight Katsidis cos if he didn't fight his mando he would lose his titles.

I would have made the same decision. Now he can move up to 140 and hold onto them titles at lightweight.

what's the point of keeping the titles at LW when he'd be winning khan's title at jr WW and setting himself up with a fight against pac?
