This is tough because I have watched all three from when they were unknowns til the present and all have done great. Funny that many of the members here make their judgement on the little they seen at the tail end of these fighters careers.
How do you rank Barrera, Marquez, Morales

That's like saying Hopkins got a moral victory against Pascal.
IMO Marquez best win was Barrera, followed by Casa.
By the way do you really want me to post the article in which Marquez admits he is not ready for a fight with Hamed, thus turning down a career high payday? Marquez was talking so much b.s. that Naz was ducking him then we he got offered the fight it was "Ohh....I'm not really ready for this fight" LMFAO!!!!!!!
Do you want me to post the clip where Hamed's own trainer Emanuel Steward says it on air that they ducked JMM because he was too good?
Naah....I rather not as it may be better, for your sake as a fan, to believe the lie that Hamed ducked Marquez.Comment

If you want to be even more critical about this whole thing, JMM is the only fighter out of the 3 that you can argue has only 1 loss.
Outside of Mayweather, there is nobody who has a "w" against Marquez that could honestly claim they deserve it.
Mayweather doesn't deserve it either but at least he actually won the fight.Comment

What this argument always boils down to is whether you can look beyond the 'official' results and assign credit to performances based on your own interpretation of a fight.
Personally I think Marquez beat Pacquiao at least once, as well as being robbed blind against Chris John so I'm gonna rank him accordingly (i.e. #1).Comment

in case people wanna hear it from the horse's own mouth.
Go to 4:00 of this clip for the pwnage.

You seem to think Hamed is really great. I'd pick Diaz, Casamayor or Katsidis as a better win, especially considering it was out of JMM's best weight.
Not only this, but everyone knows by now that Hamed ducked JMM which was a good move because JMM would've knocked his ass out cold.
JMM also beat Pac more impressively than Morales did and he did it 2x.
He also beat Barrera so you don't even have to compare Barrera's Hamed win.
you a retarted JMM nuthugger. Morales win over Pac was way way better than any of JMM's win. Barrera's best win against a prime Morales was way way better win than any of JMM's. JMM couldnt even dominate a past prime and shot Barrera.
nuthugging aside Morales and Barrera are better. those guys are ATG's and Marquez is only a borderline Hall of Famer. its all about RESUME.. without a RESUME to back up a boxer its all FANTASY fight. like you fantasize about JMM being the best of the three. you have to go with the FACTS. and FACTS dont lie.Comment

Are boxing judges really infallible arbiters of truth and justice? No? Then their scores are not 'FACTS'. They are, in fact, some of the most easily corruptible and plain incompetent officiators that you'll find in any field that requires officiating.Comment

Both Beristein and Marquez admitted that they weren't ready for the Hamed fight, as well as being offered almost half a million, a career high payday. Their excuse was "we are too exhausted to negotiate", and "Hamed is a diffucult fight and where not ready for him right now".
but again I'll just let you believe the lie that Hamed ducked Marquez.
FWIW Marquez was offered a career high payday against Morales, but turned down that fight as well.Last edited by Khalid X; 01-02-2011, 02:41 PM.Comment

here is the FACT
JMM never dominate any "GREAT" boxers in his lifetime or got a convincing win.
Morales had a convincing win against Barrera and Pac
Pac had a convincing win against a prime Barrera
Barrera had a convincing win against a prime Morales
while JMM lost against a good boxer like Chris John. even if JMM was robbed you could say JMM didnt dominate Chris John who is not even THAT good.
JMM vs a past prime and shot Barrera was a close fight. If the knock down would have counted ,Barrera would have salvaged the W or a Draw at the worst. thats a FACT!
JMM fought 2 great boxers and 1 past prime. if he was really THAT good he should have dominated Barrera, Chris John and Pac. "GREAT FIGHTERS" beat "great fighters" in a convincing way even if the fight is close. FACT!Comment
