I'd say Urango, Holt and Torres punches harder at 140 with one punch but Maidana hits pretty hard. I do think some people overrate his power though.

I think it depends on how you measure power and what you expect it to be able to do in the boxing ring. Maidana has a ridiculous KO percentage so he's obviously not featherfisted by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't think he possesses quite the bone-chilling one punch knockout power that some people seem to think. Rather, his success comes from his relentless seek-and-destroy mindset, his never say die attitude in the ring, and the type of strength and stamina that enables him to throw every punch with mean intentions. This works for him, and has gotten him where he's at, so who's to argue? But if you're arguing in terms of one punch power then I'd personally rate Holt, Alexander and Ortiz above him. Maidana's lack of speed, technique and timing hurt him in this regard. He's a very heavy handed accumulation puncher.
