im not debating about the fighter of the year award ******
and where are these posts of mine that show so much bias towards pacquiao that i'd consider him my god? im a fan, not a pac maniac, just a fan, and anyone who isn't a fan of the guy is not a fan of boxing, period!!!!!!(as u would say)

what i was callin ur tantric ass out on was the whole "if you dont fight a fighter you have a 50% or more chance of losing against it's cherrypicking" bullsht claims

and dont say the 50% sht is bullsht neither, who is this fighter besides mayweather that pacquiao is suppossed to fight and have as much chance of losing as he does winning? cuz the margarito fight(despite the break from the elite level) was still a good chance of him losing


but ofcourse u must be a pwill fan, that would explain ur hype of martinez
only reason sergio is getting so hyped is because he beat to highly overrated fighters, pavlik only beat taylor, williams only beat margarito
but that's besides the point when williams and pavlik have clearly been going downhill for a good while now, pavlik getting his ass whooped by bhop and then letting himself go outside the ring, williams getting sent reeling to the ropes and caught with brutal shots in a disputed win over martinez and then on his way to getting ko'd by kermit if he had'nt leaped through the ropes to injure himself

in reality, williams and pavlik are very alike, one with some power, tho it comes from heavy handedness whilst the other is virtually feather fisted unless fighting midgets, they are both slow, foward plodding, face blocking(williams more so than pavlik), one dimensional hypejobs

It would be a slap in the face to the rules of boxing if anyone involved in this years pac man margarito fight won any award or accolade. The man was suspended for cheating yet got a title shot at a weight he wasn't even ranked in. Margarito got paid manny got the win.................no more profit of that disgrace.

Yes that was a disgrace. Arum was involved in resto collins. I won't ***** about that fight anymore but for the boxing media to reward anything about that fight.......shameful. I'm sure sergio will win anyways.

My picks would be sergio, montiel and segura. Giovanni had four stoppages including the big upset of calderon.

Sergio Martinez CLEARLY should be fighter of the year. Clearly. The idea of beating the Lineal Champ in your division and beating the best available fighter in your division, top 10 p4p is inferior to beating the #5 in your divison and unranked in your division and unranked P4P is beyond me.

You're right, because FOTY is determined on what you do outside the boxing ring.

Pacquiao beat the 4th or 5th best welterweight in the division at that time, then he beat the 10th - 15th best Jr MW in Margarito for a belt neither guy deserved to fight for.

Martinez beat the Middleweight champ and the he beat the #3 P4P fighter in the world at Paul Williams catchweight.
