Lewis was coming on a bit but he was dead tired at the end of the last round.
Vitali looked a little tired but Ive noticed he looks like that in all his fights. I beleive Vitali would have come on strong had it not been for the cut and won a decision. I beleive this is what Lewis thought as well, thats why he retired instead of fighting the rematch. Why else would he not give Vitali the rematch?

Why would Lewis rematch the two guys who knocked him out but duck the guy who he beat?

      Please explain.

The excuse of overweight & out of his prime is always given when a fighter got his handed to him not when he got the W..... No need for a response as you've all been exposed & always did know who the best man that night in the ring was..., all the W'S in the world will never change the fact Klitschko dominated that fight & made Lewis look old..fat & out of shape......

Surely the fact the fight was stopped in his favour is justification enough
        for the victory?

Oh & coming in at your highest weight against the best & biggest fighter you've ever faced...i guess it's Klitschko's fault. Lewis gets a pass here because he didn't come into the fight in his peak shape but the blame goes to Vitali for this & NOT on Lewis & let's conveniently forget the fact that this extra 4 or 5 lbs of muscle actually helped him in the fight by pushing his weight on Vitali.. WITHOUT those 5 lbs his punch resistance might've been worse & Vitali WOULD've had an easier time roughing him up.... so this extra weight might've possibly kept him in the fight. Both there staminas were gone by the 6th rd so there's no way in hell Lewis would've fared any better in that department with 5 to 7 lbs less anyway given the pace of the fight & all the brawling & punching that was going on......

Let's stop using these excuses for LENNOX.. tHE FACT THAT he doesn;t come into shape for championship fights is Klitschko's fault? Vitali Klitschko come into shape in everyone of his 43 fights no matter who the opponent was but we don't hear about that..

We go on glorifying the fact that Lewis didn't come ready to fight in 2 of his biggest fights & give him a pass for that. PART OF BEING A GREAT & DOMINANT FIGHTER IS COMING INTO YOUR FIGHTS IN OPTIMAL SHAPE.. hOLYFIELD & tHE kLITSCHKO'S should be commended for this & when there opponents comeNOT in shape...they shouldn't be peanalized for something that was NOT in their control. Ever stop & think all these fighters put on the extra padding because they're intimidated BY vITALI'S size & want to have as much weight as possible to absorb the pounding that his lethal jab will surely give them? There you have it all these supposed lies & myths have been exposed.. do with it what you will!
Lewis beat younger versions of Holyfield and Tyson than the version of himself that beat Vitali.

          Age is not transferrable.

Maybe because the guy he beat he knew he lucked out..while the guys that beat him just got lucky. Not so difficult to comprehend his mindset here. Those dudes put him to sleep because he was lackadaisacal...HE was wide awake when Vitali's punches were landing & didn't want any part of Vk after that. Pretty simple son!

Whats so lucky about beating him on a cut? Its the same as getting knocked out. Either way the opponent is unable to carry on fighting.

It's what you call in the trade a win by default & nothing else..especially when the other fighter is winning handily & most importantly wanted to continue with whaTever physical impairment he had... Lennox should get credit for a victory because a doctor didn't want the fight continued despite the fact Vitali was more than competing at the time of the stoppage...it's a bogus w & everyone knows it.. if we say MCCAL & rAHMAN landed lucky punches & hit the lottery..so was lewis Landing the punch which opened up the cut..regardless Vitali WANTED to continue with the beatdown but was not allowed to... He was ready to go after Lewis right after... so i'm not buying that gift of a w... If L;ewis fans are satisfied with that type of victory despite knowing there fighter got his ass handed to him then that's on them.

It;s logical because it's the truth. That's why it doesn't make any sense to you...you're in the fallacy...you're engulfed so you can't see all the excuses to justify a legit victory for Lewis when it was anything but.
