Floyd and pac will never happen, if it did mayweather wins every round and we will watch and say how much heart pac has 4 taking a beating the way he will. i like pac and i think floyd is a great fighter but lets face it: if they wanted to fight eachother it wouldve been done, instead all we hear is lame blame azz excuses from the both of them on why they didnt fight. and the ROACH is full of s#*t he'll never put manny in the ring with someone that he (ROACH) cant figure out ahead of time, and he hasnt/cant figure out floyd yet. we will keep hearing about the possible match up (between floyd & manny) because this is what keeps us interested and the promoters, trainers, and media knows this. without a possible match up with floyd manny wouldnt be on the radar as huge as he is.

Floyd would hustle Pac, again Bob does the talking. Remember? Or is Pac the one making all the "selections"? Bob's Pac's daddy, don't try and say Pac makes the decisions. he just signs the bottom line. I don't blame all on Pac, mostly Bob.

Bert Sugar would give you his feelings about Mayweather vs JMM pre and post fight. Different feelings of course after the fact. Then again that's everyone's case.

Manny came into that fight overweight. After working out the excess, Manny still didn't make weight and was penalized by using heavier gloves. The Ring Announcer Ronnie Nath. mentioned this at the start of the fight. Did you not see that fight?

The same thing happened with Manny in his loss to Singsurat. Manny lost the title even before the fight. Why? He was overweight plus he was KO'ed in 3.

Try boxing rec, I bet that would somewhat fill you in. I think it has some info there.

u say we cant compare floyd to marquez, yet you are comparing pac to castillo..
pac will land one big punch, the crowd will go crazy, and then floyd will take over just like he always does after the first 2 rounds, the crowd & his critics will be quiet.
u'll see *******s crying after the fight.

anyway.. we both now this fight isnt gonna happen until floyd is 37 & manny 35.
arum has to milk his cash cow dry first, then finally if we r lucky they'll fight
            i compared pac to castillo?.....lol
i said you cant use marquez as to how floyd would do vs a pacquiao for obviuos reason, and thats what yu did....i did'nt comapre pac to castillo, i only said jlc beat him the first time..

I guess you dont remember that either? of course you dont because no one wants to give floyd the credit for accepting pacquiao's challenge and wanting to bring more honesty and fairness to the sport by doing blood testing. im pretty if floyd fights him and beats him convincingly haters would still find a way to play it down. and okay he got rocked by corley, de la hoya, judah, and even mosley. but he adjusted and schooled these guys so i dont think he's afraid of pacquiao's power. floyd gave him the opportunity the first time, pac backed off, so now floyd is gonna make him wait and fight him when he's ready. and plus all the legal stuff he has goin on, that man aint thinking about pacquiao right now. the fight will happen because there is too much money and stake and when floyd beats pacquiao i cant wait to hear what kind of excuses the haters will come up with
As I said, I'm not of the opinion that Pac will wipe Floyd out (or vice versa). I think it would be a competitive fight, I simply can't see one guy dominating when you have these two complete fighters in the ring with one another, these alltime greats. Also, nor did Freddie say it would be easy, in fact he admitted it would be 'difficult' (it's even in the title of the article and thus in the title of this thread).

Again, you can't just put it in black or white terms. As someone else has pointed out, Pacquiao has long held the belief that he lost the first Morales fight due to a blood test weakening him so close to the bout. Considering that was his last loss - and his first significant loss, in a way, since the previous two were pre-Roach, when he was a skinny kid fighting in the much lower weight classes - don't you think that belief would hold an instrinsic significance to Manny, especially if he's already superstitious? Can't you see that there isn't just a black and white? It was very well-publicised and well-documented that Pac blamed a blood test for that loss. And so it does seem strange that given that this information was in the public realm, Floyd comes out and not only requests but INSISTS on random drug testing close to the fight - a request he has never, ever made of any fighter (nor had he voiced any concerns about PED use in boxing) but he makes it of Pacquiao, and to drive home the point he (along with the rest of the Mayweather clan) starts besmirching Manny's good name and reputation with completely unfounded druguse allegations...

In my opinion, this was Floyd's way of sabotaging the deal. He knew Manny's ego, his superstition would not allow him to be dictated to by Floyd. As far as Manny is concerned, the state Commission decides which testing protocol is in place, and that is that. Floyd knew Manny would not bow to these unprecedented demands and so he refused. I'm sure Floyd had no problem agreeing to 50-50, glove size etc. knowing full-well he had put a spanner in negotiations with the OSDT request.

At the end of the day, Manny knew he could turn down the request, try and make the fight using other, less-harsh protocols that wouldnt weaken him for this huge fight, but the negotiations broke down.... Manny obviously knows he can still go fight someone else and make upwards of $20 million dollars

You say Floyd's legal troubles mean he isn't thinking of Pac now, but the fact is, even before these legal troubles Floyd had ceased to respond to Pac's challenges. The silence is defeaning. It's pretty obvious the man doesn't want to fight.

Pac won't get that many punches off on a defensive fighter
not just Mayweather. Any fighter who has some D and counter
punches can have a chance at giving Manny a hard time and
possibly beating him. We don't know yet because he hasn't
fought anybody like that in a long while. I wouldn't be
surprised if Pac's punch output got drastically decreased
against Floyd. Pac is open for all kinds of effortless
                punches.
Pac has speed and can hit but Floyd already
showed what he is made of by taking them 2nd rds Mosley
power shots and still closing the round out strong. Took
Pac into the late rounds to stop all of his recent opponents
with exception to Hatton and Mayweather ain't Ricky Hatton.
Floyd gets more comfortable as the fight progresses. Pac
would lose and possibly get shut down.
Roach already confirmed this. Arum also said that Mayweather vs Pac would be so boring that Pac vs Clottey would be more exciting. Pac wont throw as much due to Floyd's counter punching and defense.

                  Your living in denial.....

Pacquiao and Mayweather had agreed to unlimited random urine testing, but Mayweather also insisted on random blood testing, even though the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which would oversee the bout at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, requires only urine testing.

Pacquiao (50-3-2, 38 KOs) didn't want blood testing but later relented and agreed to three blood tests: one during the week of the kickoff news conference, which would have taken place next week, one random test to be conducted no later than 30 days before the fight and a final test in his dressing room after the fight. Mayweather (40-0, 25 KOs) would be subject to the same testing procedures.

When they could not come to an agreement, Top Rank and Golden Boy Promotions, which represents Mayweather, turned to a mediator, retired judge Daniel Weinstein, who had successfully mediated a series of disputes between Top Rank and Golden Boy in 2007.

But after nine hours in mediation on Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif., and further attempts to come to a resolution on Wednesday failed, the fight was pronounced dead by the Pacquiao camp.
Proof right there that Manny Pacquiao walked away from the
OFFICIAL negotiations because he wanted to know exactly
when he was going to be tested for a RANDOM BLOOD TEST.
Pac is a fraud and Arum is the cover up guy. Manny will
never lived down that he turned down the tests to not make
the biggest fight in Boxing. Everyone is tired of talking about
this but Arum, Roach and Pac keep bringing Floyd's name up
to sell their fights. What did Arum say again? "Shane was able
to hurt Mayweather so he is dangerous for Pac". Shane
gets off a couple of good solid punches, only to get DOMINATED
for the 9rds, has a chance to be competitive against Pac?
That right there says it all and Pac fans can't tell me nothing.
Floyd needs to get back in the ring and stop horsing around
but Arum and the rest of them are full of ****.

he said it was a tough fight, he did'nt say it was one of floyd's toughest fight...that would be ****** to say since even at 135 jmm kinda looked sluggish vs a diaz.....

pac came in at 112 which was the maximum at fw...and the singsurat fight was his last at that weight , he then jumped 2 weeighclasses after that meaning he could'nt make weight anyomore....whats your deal with that?..
