The difference is JMM was ranked number 2 in the sport while
Oscar was just a greedy bully who got the **** kicked out of
him. Oscar at 154 would have smashed Manny. Hell! Manny
couldn't even move up to 154 OFFICIALLY like Floyd did to
win his title and I am supposed to believe that Pac can beat
down Floyd? Whoever thinks Floyd would be an easy fight
for anyone, has not been watching boxing. I think Pac is
a good fighter but he hasn't fought anyone as of recent
that has next to his speed or defense. All come forward
brawlers will get iced by Pac because he is too fast.

lol....so why did you ask then....lol......no, team pac has made clear they'll fight floyd since he came back....why do you think they were disappoitned when floyd could'nt wait a week after the pac vs hatton fight so they could start negotiating?....you prolly missed that, but its ok!

Actually I copied and pasted that info. Then I gave you a link talking about both fights and how Manny came in overweight 2X.

of Pacquiao, when Freddie Roach once said he would want
to fight Mayweather at a catchweight? You Pac fans have
got to be kidding me. There is an article I've been looking
for when Arum said that he would like for Mayweather to
stay retired as long as possible, so that Floyd could be
rusty when he comes back to fight Pac BEFORE the JMM
fight happened. I've been looking for that article for a long
time. If someone can find it. Please forward it over and let
me know when/if you post it.
don't know if this is the one but this clearly states that Top Rank wanted Floyd to stay inactive long as possible

Manny Pacquiao recently won over Oscar de la Hoya in their Dream Match that took place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada last December 6, 2008. Manny Pacquiao was the underdog and many boxing fans called the fight a “mismatch” because of Oscar de la Hoya’s superior built. The fight ended in KO in the eighth round.
Ricky Hatton who is challenging Pacquiao is the current British boxing superstar. He is considered as the best and ideal match for Manny Pacquiao because of their almost same physical built and their known boxing style. Freddie Roach said earlier that the proposed match up is “not going to be a boring fight”.
Another boxing superstar, Floyd Mayweather has announced his intention to tangle with Manny Pacquiao saying that he is coming out of his self-imposed retirement in order to make himself available for the fight. However the handlers of Pacquiao said that Hatton should come first and deal with Mayweather later in 2009. They added that the longer Mayweather becomes inactive the better it will be for Pacquiao.

            • I give Manny a punchers chance but if it come down to 12 rounds Mayweather wins easy. Here is why: Manny is a rythem fighter, it take him about 2 to 3 rounds to get confortable with his opponent an get in2 a rythem, once he's in a rythem he is on cruz control the whole fight. Look an his past opponents(Margarito,Clottey,Cotto,Hatton,DLH) except for DLH the rest dont make drastic adjustments to catch Manny, Now Floyd make adjustments quicker then any fighter I've ever seen, an I think that Manny would never establish any type of rythem in the ring cause of Floyd quick adjustments, I personally feel it would be a boxing clinic in the ring due to the fact Manny looks horrible when he is not in rythem, that why he got his ass handed to him by JMM cause JMM can make good adjustments, that also y Manny cant fight while backing up, that also y he cant fight clinching, like I said Manny is a rythem fighter break the rythem, you break Manny down.

Honestly I asked just to see what you would say. They were disappointed because they wanted to fight PBF without a tune-up. Come on man you know there is a difference in fighters when they have had a tune-up and didn't have one. That is the real reason they were disappointed it is understandable like we all know people in boxing want as many advantages as they can get before the fighters even get in the ring.

LOL....jmm earned his place as a # 2 at 130....and again at 135....never at 140 and not esp at 147 where he was **** at that weight vs floyd..

if you think a prime hoya beats pac , then you must think he'd ko floyd since a past prim hoya only lost to floyd by SD while he did'nt win a single round vs pac....i dont give a **** about what you think about pac coz none of our opinions matter outside of thsee boards...but here is a fact:.....pac is highly regarded as an atg fighter by experts , ive yet to hear floyd to be put up there in that regard...

That point will become very relevant to him if Floyd decided to take on Pwill as a come back fight sine Pac/Arum raced to sign with Mosley.

Although I see Mayweather vs Berto going down (if he comes back).
