I think Clottey is hungry to redeem himself right now and I think he has realized that he needs to stop ****ing around because his chances of earning a tittle are becoming critical after his last performance.

I hope they put him against berto or foreman. I'm more than confident he will beat both of them.
Yea I just hope they give him another big chance. I love his style and i think he has potential to be one of the very best. I see where everyones coming from tho with the mentally tough issue. And I agree with you. I think he would beat Berto and foreman. A rematch with Cotto would be good too. Maybe against cintron and mosley?

I'd like to see Clottey in the ring again. The dude is underrated IMO. He whooped Corrales, Judah, and fought a very close fight against Plasterito and Cotto. It's just a shame he did what he did against Pac.

he might not be an elite level fighter but he's a tough customer and durable and i think he should be back in the mix as hes good enough to give most fighters a run for their money

I love his style too man. He makes it look too easy and has great accuracy, explosive offense when he lets his hands go, and the best defense in the game. it's a real pleasure watching this guy fight

The Cotto rematch is the fight I want to see the most. A Mosley fight will be lovely too. A win from amny of these two will put him back on the map

I also love his style, but I wouldn't say he has the best defense. His defense doen't allow him to quickly transition from offense to defense, ala Mayweather, Guzman and Bernard Hopkins. Clottey is either on the offense or on the defense; rarely does he counter. So I wouldn't say he has the best defense.

He's a good fighter with no heart whatsoever, he could've won that Cotto fight easily after that cut had he let go of his hands more often. For the Pacquiao fight, he was just scared of getting hurt - he said he was there to prove Roach wrong, its obvious that Roach's comments about him getting KO'd got to him and Clottey then blames the woeful performance on a stomach ache (LOL) and has the nerve to ask for a rematch even though he has done _NOTHING_ after Pac.

Maybe not the best counterpunching defense but the best defense of not letting anything get in. Kind of like winky's defense. His defense does allow him to load up a lot of power though that's why he looks explosive whenever he throws. Look at when he was counterpunching Cotto letting him throw and then comming back with a combination, and then going back on his defense catching his breath.

Out of all the past fights Clottey's the one that didn't take any damage from Pac ad he was standing infront of pac the whole time

Margarito and Cotto were still able to break through it. Pacquiao struggled to get through it so he decided to attack Clottey's body which was smart. Cotto and Margarito being able to penetrate through Clottey's defense was more due to them having heavier hands than Pacquiao. It's a pretty good defense though.

I'd rate his defense Top 5 currently, probably all the way at the bottom, I'd still rather have a defense that allows me to counter. All preference I guess

By the way, I had him beating Cotto, although he did take the foot off the gass.

Cotto did land a few shots but mostly moslty were blocked. He didn't land anything significant neither did Margarito. I still haven't seen clottey get hit with any big shots or any good counters.

Marg was landing against Clottey mostly due to the fact that he was smothering him not letting him breathe. Most other fighters would have been penetrated to the point where they would either get KO'd or give up.

I thought he won against Cotto as well. He did mess up when he took his foot of the gas though you're right.

I think Clottey gets lazy in there and does just enough to win. I feel like he has the potential to do a lot more damage and win easier fights if he tried.
The hungriest fight I've seen him in was against Corrales and Richard Gutierrez
