You're right both have won titles at that weight and so has Cotto but neither of them are really going to make a stay at 154. Cotto will but even that is a mistake and he should only be matched up with smaller guys at the weight. Martinez is in a tough position because 160 is pretty putrid but he needs to stop wanting fights with welterweights. It's the same thing with Paul Williams. Move on and fight other dudes, you ain't getting those fights.

If sergio wants to be #1 p4p, why pick on the little guys? Why not move up and beat the other champions like those little guys did?

            Just sayin'.....

He says a fight with Pacquiao is impossible because of the Filipino's demands on the weight. Regarding a fight with Mayweather, Martinez thinks the clash is possible for the end of 2011.

I think Sergio might be a KO away to someone like Cotto to make some Big PPV numbers with Floyd. Other than Pac Floyd doesn't really got any opponents left but I believe it would be a great fight

I would give floyd MAD love if he took that fight. I don't ever see that happening though. If he don't want none of a south paw the size of manny, he sure as **** don't wanna **** with somebody martinez's size.

And I guess we can put the ol manny needs to fight martinez **** in the ****** folder once and for all. Unless u think martinez is a ******* for saying manny is too small for the fight to ever come off. Can you say "common sense"?

He already moved up in weight three times. He's number #3 p4p so the only way he'll ever be #1 is if he beats the the current #1 or #2. None of the super midleweights are in the top 10 and the current #1 is holding his old jr middleweight title.

I don't know about Martinez to be honest with you. I'm gonna wait until his next move is before I criticize him, but this stuff of calling out Pacquiao, Mayweather, and Cotto for that matter and not focusing on guys that are closer to his size is the same exact thing that Paul Williams got bashed for. Fight Pirog or Golovkin because those guys are in the top ten and they are undefeated. Nobody is interested in guys like Andy Lee and I'm really not interested in a Martinez-Cotto fight either if the truth be told.
