Maybe they have had a private discussion? Lol Im clutching there i doubt there has and i doubt this fight will happen but that would be a huge statment if Floyd announces in a few weeks this fight is happening. Although i really can't see Floyd fighting anyone before another tune up.

If Mayweather stepped up to middleweight and took the title from Martinez (without a catchweight), Pacwh*res everywhere would be screaming he ran to the middleweight division to duck Pacquaio.

Martinez vs. floyd would be a great fight...

..problem is jr is too busy fighting outside the ring...but if the fight happens...I will put my money on Martinez.

I don't think Floyd would take a fight with Martinez when he can take easier fights with Berto and (if Arum agrees) Pac. Floyd would make just as much with Berto and even more with Pac than he would with Martinez.

But I would love to see it happen. Maybe down the road as one of Floyd's last fights and of course by that time Martinez will be old(er) and the fight would look a lot like Pac vs Mosley.

This would be an excellent fight, there would be the same 'common wisdom', as Kellerman puts it, as going into every other Floyd fight that he outboxes Martinez, however, Sergio has a tricky style and is southpaw which increases his chances to land on Floyd, so there's always the chance that if he lands a P-Will type shot on Floyd (like Corley andZab were able to land big shots on Floyd), it's lights out. This would be a huge legacy booster for Floyd if he wins. An unlikely fight any time soon though.
