and as for your story. I couldnt find anything about him running through the snow. I even went to his website and he didnt say that. He joined a traveling boxing team at like 10 or 12 that went everywhere. My point is this. If a person were to run Five miles with no shoes on they would get Frost bite. Especially in russia. It get -50 degrees where he lived. Beside's, it was known very early in his career that he was something special. His amature record was 225 - 11. Most of the loses were latter avenged.

So, your saying that even though he was already considered very special at a young age, that his trainers were willing to take a chance on him losing his toes. Im not a trainer or anything like it. But, even i know that a person with no toes doesnt have very good balance.
