Vitali's orthodox technique looks awful but he does some pretty impressive things in the ring that I've never really seen such a big man do before. Because of his size and raw upperbody strength he can afford to arm punch and still do damage which has several benefits. Firstly, it allows him to throw hurtful consecutive punches off the same arm, since he's not putting his body momentum into the shots and therefore doesn't need to reset. Secondly, because he's not utilising his body's momentum much he can throw punches even when his feet aren't entirely set or when it looks like he's out of position. This allows him to chain together really odd combos that catch fighters out because they simply aren't accustomed to the broken rhythm, odd angles or multiple punches coming off the same side. Most fighters, when they throw combinations, do a variation of the one two repeated over and over again. For example, a fighter might throw a left hook, right cross, left uppercut and overhand right. Sure, they're all different punches, but they're still being thrown in the traditional one two pattern. Vitali on the other hand can throw, for example, a left hook, left hook, straight right, left uppercut, right uppercut, right hook and whilst none of those punches would possess the raw power of a Tyson or Tua who both utilise their legs and the torque of their bodies to generate power, the constant barrage of hurtful punches coming from all angles at all times, taken over the course of a fight, is enough to take many fighters out.
Whether Vitali does this consciously or not I don't know. It may simply be a side-effect of his back surgery, but it sure does work.
this is a fantasy combo Vitali has never thrown and will never attempt
sound more like a combo Marquez regularly pulls off
chaining a left/right uppercutt is pretty insane, leaves a fighter open for a counter for too long
if you disagree, post a video my friend
Vitali does use combos, but that combo you suggested is ridiculous in his case

Yeah, it was a bit ridiculous, but he has thrown some extremely unorthodox combos that aren't far off. He regularly chains punches together off the same hand, especially the double right hand that seems to be his trademark. Logic would dictate that you wouldn't be able to get any power into the second right given that your body is already turned over, yet Vitali has stunned several opponents with that exact shot, such as JC Gomez. He also landed an odd double right uppercut on Williams moments before the KO in the eighth. First shot didn't have much on it but the second, delivered moments later, snapped Williams head back and left him open for the one two. Again, very difficult to get power on that shot given the mechanics of punching unless you're just freaky brute strong.
