Giant Pavlik is a decent prospect but he isn't anywhere near good enough to topple a Klit, nor, do I think, will he ever be. Just doesn't possess the speed, technique or any real peculiarities in his style to trouble either brother. Bloke has power, I'll give him that, but nothing that either brother hasn't tasted before.

As for whether he'll become a dominant fighter in the vein of the Klits, unlikely, for more or less the same reasons I gave above. Someone like Pulev or Boytsov have better chances of doing that, but even they will always be challenged at the top. Klit dominance isn't something we're likely to see again for quite some time.

Wladimir Klitschko ain't **** compared to previous greats. This heavyweight era is quite possibly the worst of all time. Nobody in America knows who he is, Wlad will be forgotten after he retires... he ain't a legend his just decent.

Guys like Peter, Chambers, Chagaev, Ibragimov etc would be journeymen in the 90's and below. The Klitschko's resume are a joke.

And his fans are a joke too, maybe I'll do like them and save this post on word and copy and paste it on every klitschko thread like the klit fans do with their dumbass white supremacist posts, lol.

Haters (Americans, Brits, blacks... whatever) just can't take it! 9-0 in Championship fights. Wlad, you are a legend mate!

Vitali's orthodox technique looks awful but he does some pretty impressive things in the ring that I've never really seen such a big man do before. Because of his size and raw upperbody strength he can afford to arm punch and still do damage which has several benefits. Firstly, it allows him to throw hurtful consecutive punches off the same arm, since he's not putting his body momentum into the shots and therefore doesn't need to reset. Secondly, because he's not utilising his body's momentum much he can throw punches even when his feet aren't entirely set or when it looks like he's out of position. This allows him to chain together really odd combos that catch fighters out because they simply aren't accustomed to the broken rhythm, odd angles or multiple punches coming off the same side. Most fighters, when they throw combinations, do a variation of the one two repeated over and over again. For example, a fighter might throw a left hook, right cross, left uppercut and overhand right. Sure, they're all different punches, but they're still being thrown in the traditional one two pattern. Vitali on the other hand can throw, for example, a left hook, left hook, straight right, left uppercut, right uppercut, right hook and whilst none of those punches would possess the raw power of a Tyson or Tua who both utilise their legs and the torque of their bodies to generate power, the constant barrage of hurtful punches coming from all angles at all times, taken over the course of a fight, is enough to take many fighters out.

Whether Vitali does this consciously or not I don't know. It may simply be a side-effect of his back surgery, but it sure does work.

Au contrair, my angry friend. I think that respect for Wlad will increase after he retires, in the same way that it happened to Holmes and is happening to Lewis. Regardless of what you think of his compeition, the sheer dominance and length of that domination over his opposition is not something that can be easily dismissed, nor will it.

Legends don't have such a terrible resume like Wlad. To call Wlad a legend is an insult to the sport. His resume sucks.

Wlad's resume is solid. It's not like he was beating up on obese boozing ice-delivery men or getting nearly dropped by Middleweights is it?

Atleast Lennox Lewis was known in America, unlike Wlad. In America the respect for Wlad won't increase because nobody knows who he is in the first place, he doesn't have a single good win on his resume and he is a boring ass fighter.

Wlad's resume is ****... Tyson, Holyfield and Lewis's resume are 10x greater. If you compare Wlad's resume to the past greats it's awful.
