Clottey was an in-house fight as an alternative to May-Pac not being made. It obviously wasn't a genius idea cos the PPV didn't do THAT good. It was decent, not more than that. Nevertheless, all the $$$ stayed within Top Rank.

Look people, chill the **** out and realize I'm not some Pacquiao nuthugger. I don't trust Arum either. But it's not like he's boxing's only scumbag. I just think this outrage over the Mosley fight is ridiculous. It's not like anyone didnt see it coming, and for good reason as I explained before.

A lot of the outrage has to do with Arum ciontinually ripping off the fans. Clottey was ok, margs was very borderline, and Shane is just plain de****able as far as what Bob is doing to the fans by lining his own pocketbook and the childish beef he has wioth Golden BOy.

Bob's in his 70s and acts like he's 12 years old.

For the simple fact that you started this one. Keep it up.

MOre than a few diehard fans want to see that fight at 140. EVERYONE who knows boxing at all should and most do want that fight at 140. We all saw how JMM looked over 140 in that fight with floyd (who I agree is ducking pac like a felon ducking speed traps). JMM has never proven effective above 135 so they should meet in the middle.

Fighting Shane off his last 2 performances DEFINTIELY hurts pac's legacy.

I mean even Bradley would give pac's detractors a lot less to complain about.

The fight isn't even interesting considering Shane only throws one punch at a time and was smoked by floyd for 11 or 12 rounds.

I'll say it again. THere's one lost PPV sale right here.
Unbiased....objectively speaking.....yes the fight ought to be at 140.

But think about it...with his current status and weight class. Do you think....realistically speaking Pac's gonna bounce down to 140 again?

Couldn't care less. Clearly you do since you professed your "non Pac huggingness" for the thread... well, you've done nothing but justify this decision and the fact you wrote an essay to start the thread shows that you ride Pacquiao... Like I said before, keep it up.

                    - First of all, stop the asstalk about Berto at 147 and Bradley at 140. Pacquiao is a megastar, why on earth would he fight these young cats that have absolutely NO NAME FOR THEMSELVES. They can't even get a few thousand people to show up at their fights. If YOU were Pacquiao or his promoter you damn well would not make fights with these useless upcoming boxers. They're ants compared to the elite boxers that are known outside the boxing die hards. Do the words risk/reward ratio ring any bells?

                    - Secondly, find some better alternatives. Marquez? Please people, if I was Pacquiao I wouldn't make a fight with that ungrateful bad loser. Whether he priced himself out I really don't know, but at 147 he's in for an asswhooping. WHY THE HELL would Pac move down to 140?! People, HE IS THE DRAW, stop acting naieve and ******. There's no way Manny fokking Pacquiao is gonna move below his current weight class to fight some annoying Marquez. He already fought him twice, he had his chance.

                    - Tarnishing legacy? Hilarious some people actually believe this. We're talking about the P4P great. His legacy is already sealed. The only thing that can enhance it....is a fight with Mayweather. That's the stone cold truth and deal with it, stop crying like a little wimp about his legacy. He already has achieved god-like status...that's not gonna disappear by fighting Mosley or having a catchweight...idiots.

                    - The next person to say he's ducking Martinez needs to seriously evaluate their sanity.

So get it through your thick skulls. There is nothing on offer at Welterweight. Mosley wants to fight....Mosley will generate the most money.

For YOU this fight might not be marketeable, but that's what you said about the Margarito fight as well, look what happened. Boxingscene.com is NOT the real world.

I kinda got a deja vu reading all those silly reactions.....EVERYONE said this about the Bhop/Pascal fight as well....that the old fart would get beaten down hard.....look what happened.

I'm not guaranteeing Mosley Pac will be great, but I sure as hell understand why the fight's being made. There's a big difference between not wanting a fight to be made and not understanding why it's made. You people don't seem to know the difference, because apparently it's a disgrace to boxing....but there's really not much else to be done atm.

For the record, I don't like the fight. I love SSM and I think this is too dangerous to be getting into at his age. But the reactions here are just ridiculous, a sad state of affairs.
i agree with every point you stated but what can you do, most of the posters here are posers, they pretend to know more about boxing but all they can come up with is what was already written somewhere that they have read and again pretend they have "researched" they pretend and act they are big fella's on boxing but in reality they are just kids who are afraid to come out of their rooms and out of their houses to explore because really they are those types that are picked on by neighborhood bullies. they vent their frustrations on forums like this acting tough and knowledgeable, they are the types who at the drop of a pin, challenges for debates, but if you noticed they always run on circles cannot even know how to go from point a to b when you debate them. they watch boxing on you tube and picked on the comments therein, read on articles and make what they read as their own beliefs. you can always spot them easy, always calling themselves "real boxing fan", i dont know what the hell that means but they are proud calling themselves that as if they have invented boxing and that without them it will cease to exist.
