now he is asking twice his highest guaranteed... is this the fighter who wants to fight????
he doesn't know marquez's moronic history when it comes to purse splits demands. jmm turned down 750K in the first rematch just to fight for 30K in indonesia and lost.

Like i said he should accept what ever offer he gets because he has no leverage whatsoever. He wants to make millions beat pac first.
JMM didn't ask for 50-50 then for the rematch. JMM wanted a raise for helping to create the drama in their first fight. JMM took the John fight because Pac didn't want to give JMM extra money...

Let's be honest, regarding the title and subject of this article...

Bob Arum probably TOLD Pacquiao he should be offended. Bob is insinuating that, by JMM asking for double what he made fighting FMJ, means that JMM thinks he's better then Manny but NOT Floyd. That's what this all boils down to IN MY OPINION.

are you insane accepting 30k and a fight in Indonesia and no legacy fighting Chris John instead of accepting 750k and the legacy/glory that comes with it if ever he will beat Pacman....this is pricing himself out of the fight!!!!!

Marquez priced himself out. No need to counter offer when the original asking price is absurd. Marquez BLEW IT, PERIOD! On top of that, everyone in boxing circles in the know, knows that Pac has improved his game greatly since the Marquez fights. His punches are shorter, he throws more combinations, his defense is tighter, and his right hook is improved. Marquez blew it....anyone but a Floyd nut hugger or Pac hater knows that. It is as obvious as gravity. Marquez saw Pac as a gravy train and over-valued his self worth financially by a HUGE stretch!

I understand why Bob Arum didn't want to pay JMM $5 million + and upside of the PPV! Did you see how many people paid for JMM vs. Katsidis? That fight had must see TV written all over it and nobody other than us hardcore fans cared. Let's see how much he gets paid for fighting Erik Morales instead?

Like I've said previously, USADA testing is no excuse to not make a fight. If Pac is clean, he should be willing to be tested whenever, how ever, and however many times.

As far as JMM's demands, its called negotiating buddy. Who in the hell shows their hand right off the bat? If Arum had come out and said, "We offered a counter proposal and we were too far apart to proceed", I'd have no issue with that and would be on the side fo JMM pricing hismelf outta the fight. But to not even try and negotiate shows that they had no honest intentions of making the fight from jump.

Hitking, get the damn memo regarding Pac...he accepted the demands:

                    Quote:
"I made the concession to take anything [blood tests] Mayweather wants at any time. Even during the fight before the sixth round if he wanted!" - Manny Pacquiao, 2 weeks before the Margarito fight.

In the United States of America, you are innocent until proven guilty, not when a crackhead pulls **** out of his ass and calls it gold! Anybody who takes a crackhead and women beaters word as 'fact' is as dumb as George W. Bush....
