Morales, marquez and barrera are still better victorys than any of Floyds victorys on his resume.
Pac's resume is better to those who favor Pac. But if you look at facts, most of Pac's signature wins have come against guys coming off loses and lackluster performances against lesser fighters. As for Morales, JMM, and Barerra being better wins than anyone on Mayweather's resume, you need to slap you self immediately. Genaro Heranadez in Money's 18th pro fight. And undefeated P4P Corrales. Lineal lightweight cmap Castillo that Mayweather moved up to fight. His wins over de la Hoya and Hatton were a year and a half before Pac's. And how can you even with a traight face say Pac's wins over JMM were better than Money's. Hell, most people feel Pac lost at least one of those fights and mroe than a handful think he lost most. Mayweatehr didn't lose a single second of a single round coming off a two year layoff. Hell, he beat him so badly he was criticized for taking the fight. You can favor one over the other. But to say Pac's resume is far and away better than Mayweather's shows either a ridiculous biased or a boxing IQ of about ZERO.

        1. you fight for the vacant 154lb title at a catchweight

        2. you WONT defend the 154lb title vs a 154lber whos VACANT title you fought for...*cough*cough* Martinez

        3. you defend your 154lb title vs a WW @ a catchweight.....

        what needs to be explaned?

And all that can be explained because Manny is always gonna be outweighted by 15-20 pounds on fight night as long as he fights in those divisions. Catchweights simply limits the disadvantage he's gonna be at come fight night.

This isn't rocket science dummy now can you please explain to me why a catchweight is a bad thing for a fighter whos gonna be outweighted by two weight classes come fight night anyways?

            How for *** sake? How???????????

            Do you people overexaggerate everything?

ESPN doesn't even care about this but suddenly the catchweight issue is gonna ruin boxing. Wow just wow!!!

            • Manny has a series of islands populated by troglo-monkeys who commute by rickshaw and eat fermented duck eggs supporting everything he does. Why should they care what anybody thinks about his career moves?

Let the oompa lumpia manny make his cheese.

I'm so sick of them vs us, well guess what I like to watch both he and Floyd and it was less then a year ago when Shane was involved in the most anticipated fight of 2010.

Now he didn't look great the past two fights and this is not a great fight, but not because of the catchweights. However, it's also not the end of the world and Mosley stands as much chance to win as Marquez and Berto. The Marquez fight had the nice story line and Berto has the unknown factor (maybe, but not really) but they don't have any better chance then Mosley.

The big negative out of this will be Shane getting more brain damaged.

Also, anyone giving any validity to any sanctioning belt needs to be shamed out of the sport. The athletes do it because it makes them more money, but fans need to stand up and give zero recognition to all the belts outside the linear and or ring titles.
I'm personally judging Pacquaio from the standpoint that he's supposed to be better than Mayweather. And if he's better than Mayweather, I have no interest in seeing him fight a guy that will be nearly 40 and that managed to win about 30 seconds of his fight with Mayweather what will be a year before fighting Pac. I also have no interest in seeing the so-called P4P King fight a guy that was very fortunate to get a draw with Sergio friggin Mora. I'm not one of these people that expects a superfight every time out. I mean, I know the history of boxing. And regardless of what ESPN Classic tells you, Ali didn't fight Foreman and Frazier every time out. Everyone is entitled to a gimmie here and there. Problem I'm having with Pac is that his entire 2010 was gimmies. And now, he's continuing with his gimmies into 2011. At what point is the so-called P4P King gonna step up and fight a real P4P elite?

                • Why Catchweights are bogus and why does Pac use them?

Your whole basis for hating the catchweight is because it drains fighters, nevermind none of the fighter have said that they were drained only idiot ***ing boxing fans have said that.
uh Freddy Roach the trainer for Pacquiao has gone on record several times to say that the catchweight drains the opponent (or something to that effect)

he said it post Cotto fight .. an article I read quoted Roach as saying, "with the 145 lb catchweight Cotto had to focus less on training and more on making weight"

**and of course the fighters wouldn't complain about a CW .. it's a built in excuse.

and if you're really under the impression that CW's don't drain the opponent, then why does Team Pacquiao go through the trouble to make a fight at a CW in the first place?

yeah only an idiot might use the CW= weight drained excuse

but if the catchweight made no difference .. why would Team Pac use them?

In Mayweathers defense...Judah was ranked #3 @ WW, he lost a split decision to Baldo and Zab was still a live underdog vs Mayweather. The fight was NOT at a catch and it isnt like Zab got destroyed vs Baldo. Mayweather beat the #1 & #3 WW at that time in 2006....

dude you are chatting ****. morales, marquez and barrera are bonified hofs, and were or near prime when pac fought them. they are better than anyone on Floyds resume. the featherweight round robin will go down in history and will be remebered like the duran, leanord, hearns, hagler round robin of the 80s.

pac beat marquez fair. It was a close fight but he got the kd. The fight was a classic. All due respect to hernandez, castillo and corrales but they are no where near the level of mab, mar, mor. Your the one being biased son.
