Canada: a backward country with problems of corruption and racism? What are you an American? Who are you going to teach to about corruption and racism? I hope that was irony, if not you're a true ******...

I agree. They support fighters by stealing illegal streams instead of actually attending the fights. Even a guy like Molitor sells out venues in Canada while Hopkins sold 1800 tickets to his last fight with Jones and couldn't even sell half the venue for last year's fight in his own hometown of Philadelphia.

First of all, I love Canada. But if Canada wants to stop being the Afghanistan of the Western World, they need to stop resorting to such childish tactics.

You can resort to personal attacks if you like, in the civilized world name-calling does not win arguments. Canadians have to learn this and embrace modernity.

all this nationalism is bullsheit! the bottom line is bad officiating. yall are acting like there hasn't been some seriously shady and questionable decisions regarding judging and refereeing.

this is a place where we saw a ref help the hometown darling (lucian bute) survive a knockout.

the ref pulled stopped the fight against dawson. i thought that was shady as hell, seeing since dawson was starting to be competitive in that fight, it only took 10-11 rounds, i guess one more for pascal would've been detrimental. i was rooting for pascal in that fight, but didn't like how it was handled.

and then pascal hopkins, that was a clear show of hometown cooking. it's obvious and no reason for anyone to not call it out. and by calling it out, maybe next time fighters might get a fair shake..........

i think it's well within the rights of the visitors voice their opinions and concerns ...........

bottom line, lets look at boxing as a whole and not a nationalist topic. and im saying form both sides, whoever vs whoever............

there needs to be a policing of the judges and officials........... because what is being done now to combat poor officiating and judging, is nothing....... they're running wild, because those in charge are bought and paid for and in some ones pocket........

the canuck is right, hopkins wasn't robbed. . . not at all. . .

I think with the two knockdowns, a draw was the perfect decision. yeah, everybody hates draws, but nobody wants to recognize that they are part of the sport. Sometimes there isn't a winner, or a loser. Despite this being an awesome fight, I don't want to see an immediate rematch. Hopkins only has so many fights left (even though he looked good last night, except his balance), and I think he proved he is better then pascal despite getting the draw, and DESERVING it saturday night. I honestly think he will school david haye. bring that fight on

Comments from Canadians on Yvon Michel's blog: An unforgettable boxing night. In one comment (doralissimo) we can read (google translate):

"the whole province was behind Jean Pascal, but the population of Quebec is not a partisan point of not recognizing when an opponent wins the victory. From the 4th round, Hopkins was by far the best fighter in the arena, he has dark Pascal continually given the best moves and showed the greatest determination until the end of the 12th round."

Jean Pascal is finished in Quebec, Canada, the only thing he has big for real is his mouth!
Pascal is done in Montreal? Ok moron.

Canada is garbage anyway
That is a very idiotic comment.
