Lol he may end up retiring early if he continues to allow getting caught on the chin of his. But I don't think you should broadcast your future plans so early. Sure he beat Maidana, but he was odds on favourite to win by a huge UD and look how the fight ends. Fighters like Bradley are not as power as Maidana but they are a lot more technical and Khan needs to improve a s'hit load before he can even think about taking on Mayweather.

Really? The Guy’s been boxing since he was 11. Won a silver medal @ the Olympics when he was 17 and is now 24-1 with an alphabet strap having only recently turned 24.
How much more do you really expect from a fighter? Moon on a stick featured in the ring walk maybe?

He should just focus on fighting other 140 pounders like the winner of Bradler-Alexander. I doubt Mayweather will fight at all this year.

This is a fight that I could see Floyd taking, he would beat Khan pretty easily imo and make good money doing it.

As much as I've come to admire this matured Khan, I still don't like to hear boxers saying they're going to retire before such and such, usually before 30.

This is the boxing game and what we love most is a fighters love, passion and determination to keep in it for the love.

People are living longer, training is modernised, physical peaks are around 28 so why retire at that exact time? You couldn't fast forward to your peak at 20 so your still good, make up for it in experience and wisdom. Heck look at Hopkins, a glowing example of performing well for years due to a love for the sport.

How much less valuable and rich would the sport have been had he have retired at 30.

Keep fighting til you actually lose the love or really start to decline Khan, and Haye. Anything else stinks of grabbing as much money as can then running, whilst maintaining a love for the sport. Keep fighting then, if your fighters.

good idea in my opinion getting punched in the brain for a living is a bad idea the shorter you can make your career the better.
