Number one, I didn't say any fighter did or didn't. The point was that if a fighter did get faster or stronger, that would make a case for steroid use. As far as his healing abilities, I don't know how he feels after a fight. So, that's only speculation. As a matter of fact, he takes off a considerable amount of time in between most of his fights recently. If anything, that proves that it takes longer to recover.

Number two, some fighters have gotten stronger moving up. Some have not lost any speed. Judah and Mayweather didn't lose any speed that was noticeable moving up. Perhaps they have now, after aging a bit, but they moved up well with their speed. Juan Manuel Marquez doesn't look noticeably slower at 135 then he was at 130. Perhaps a tick I suppose, but it translated well. In terms of power, Paul Williams seemed to have a bigger punch at 154 then he did at 147. He knocked out a man at 147 in Quintana, and a journeyman at 160. So, realistically, it looked decent enough. Hard to gauge, but decent nonetheless.

Number three, and most importantly, steroid use is possible in virtually any case. However, like Pacquiao, there is no EVIDENCE of ANY use for Hopkins or Manny.

Therefore, Hopkins isn't accused. The reason Manny is accused is because a few people in the public's eye thought that he HAD to be using steroids. No indication that they had any PROOF of the matter, but they spoke in public. That's all it takes for rumors and what have you to arise.

Doesn't make it right, just what happens.

Hopkins always been a great fighter, from DAY ONE, not like he was getting his A$$ kicked early in his career then all of a Sudden he started KNOCKING PEOPLE OUT! I have been watching B-Hop most of his career and it has never been any sudden change in the way he fights, he doesn't depend on Power, he takes PRIDE IN HIS SKILLS and he never gave a damn about fans CRYING about his style and the way he fights

so THAT IS WHY nobody questions B-Hop Success, fighters with PURE BOXING SKILLS alway last longer and continue to fight at a high level even late in their career
Who are you referring to When you say that?... You base a guys whole career on being koed when he was a weight drained kid who went pro at an age when most kids get their first pimple... One of those fights he was so drained and could not make weight, nor even break a sweat because of it.. Those same nobodies that koed him were able to do what Morales, Barrera, Marquez, who are legends in the sport, were not even close to doing, not even a knock Pac down. Even at 122 he was kd by nedal hussein, a nobody, but at 126 130 those legends could not even get him to the ground....You are saying that more weight should have made him weaker more vulnerable, less powerful, with less stamina? It must be Peds right. Nothing to do with being once malnutritioned and drained and getting better as he moved up to a healthier weight... Dang this is why you guys have 0 credibility outside *****s in message boards, you skip the facts and revert to talking out your asses. now look at what manny has been hydrating to when he was 126 and 130. It is the weight he fights at now. I don't think B-hop is on Peds and I don't think Manny is on Peds... It is just paranoid individuals making crap up and justifying it in their heads with no real facts..

Wins a lot of his fights with boring tactics using said boxing skills. His body doesn't even look like that of a PED user. Just an in shape fairly cut older guy. And when the hell was he just ordinary? When he just came out of prison and started boxing professionally right away? What a ****** thread.

                  Reading these forums,

apparently, its impossible for Hopkins to have used PEDs.

"all of his hard work and style is what makes him the fighter he is".

Seems like many people are actually dismissing the possibility.

Well, a lot of people live in candyland. But like I said, people are going to start to push back...especially clean fighters. And who knows, maybe Hopkins is fine. But his name has been connected to steroids since he beat Trinidad. And when he joined GBP the whispers got worse. It's a shame it's become almost a witch hunt but if boxing - and boxers - just did the right thing, this wouldn't be an issue.
